Angelboddy Posted August 29, 2003 Posted August 29, 2003 Well, as soon as hubby gets home. I am going to go pick up my check and take dongwa to the vet. He is going to get his shots and wormer. :D I was also going to get some frontline for him and Nostalgia (since they have been itching so much) But won't have enough money from my pay check. :( I don't have a carrier for dongwa, so I hope he does alright on the short ride. :( Well, wish us luck! Quote
behle Posted August 29, 2003 Posted August 29, 2003 Sorry, I just had to laugh when I read this: I don't have a carrier for dongwa, so I hope he does alright on the short ride. My sister took her first kitten to the vet riding loose in her car years ago! That little kitten rode the whole way on her shoulders trying to cling to her head with his claws! I wish you much luck and hope Dongwa has better car manners!   Quote

Sanvean Posted August 29, 2003 Posted August 29, 2003 I'm sure he'll be fine! At that age, they're usually pretty good in the car. As he gets bigger, you'll def. want a carrier, though. If money is an issue, a lot of places sell those cardboard ones. they aren't the sturdiest things in the world, but they're better than nothing. Quote
marion Posted August 29, 2003 Posted August 29, 2003 trying to cling to her head with his claws! Haha, that made me laugh so much Behle, I can just picture Angel riding to the vets with a cat clung to her head. :o Good Luck Dongwa. :D Quote
Malamum Posted August 29, 2003 Posted August 29, 2003    LOL that made me laugh to - Angel all the other drivers will just think you are wearing a lovely hat  Quote
Angelboddy Posted August 29, 2003 Author Posted August 29, 2003     You guys are just to much. :D Well everything went great. He was very good on the way there and back. Got his shot and a pill to worm him (Which i just shoved down his throat just now) :( He had very bad ear mites. :( The vet cleaned them out and we got covered in goop. :-? But gave me Revalution for him to clear that up. Over all i spent $53 dollars :o And i got to go back in a couple of weeks to give him his second and rabies. :D Also the vet said that since he is already showing (you know where) That he will neuter him. :D So when we go back in a couple of weeks, I will neuter him then. :D Quote
behle Posted August 29, 2003 Posted August 29, 2003 It's good to hear you did not have to wear a "cat hat" in the car!!!  Sorry about the ear mites; they can be a yucky mess to clean out. At least you don't have to do the drops in his ears! I've never had an adopted or "found" cat that didn't have a case of them....they hated the drops, and always shook their heads after the drops went in their ears flinging drops and yucky goo everywhere... :x Dongwa is lucky to have a good mom like you who is taking care of him and is going to get him "tutored" in a couple of weeks! (Have you seen that farside cartoon with one dog saying to another-with great excitement-that he is going to get tutored - instead of neutered?) Quote
Angelboddy Posted August 30, 2003 Author Posted August 30, 2003 Thanks Behle. :D I was really looking forward to that kitty hat. He is a mess right now. :( Very sad kitty. So i am going to give him a can of tuna, as soon as the kids go to bed and honey goes home. :D Quote
ellieangel Posted August 30, 2003 Posted August 30, 2003 Yes spoil him !!! Ellie had her shots yesterday so she is a brave little soldier too !!! Quote
Daisysmom Posted August 30, 2003 Posted August 30, 2003 Is this a new kitty? did I miss something????? :( Quote
Sanvean Posted August 30, 2003 Posted August 30, 2003 Daisy, Angel adopted a darling little Siamesey kitten -- I think the pics are in the Pictures forum. He's TOO cute! Poor little guy, with those icky ear mites! But behle is right...it seems like just about every kitten has them at some point. Quote
Malamum Posted August 30, 2003 Posted August 30, 2003 Behle, I love the Farside cartoons and I have seen that one - it's hilarous :D (I'm from the midvale school for the gifted - I tend to push doors when the need to be pulled   ) Quote
