JackieMaya Posted August 28, 2003 Posted August 28, 2003 Today I took Jackie and Maya to the barn with me. There are 4 dogs out at the barn who bark at anyone driving up, so Jackie was scared to come out of the car. But once the dogs stopped barking, she finally got out and her tail started wagging immediately, and never stopped. She had a blast! I let Jackie go off leash at the barn, but I keep a leash on Maya because she'll chase the horses (which is NOT good). The first thing Jackie does when she gets in the barn is go into one or two stalls and roll around in the wood shavings. Luckily, the stalls she was rolling around in had already been cleaned (and of course didn't have horses in them). The indoor arena is insulated, so it stays fairly cool, so I let both girls loose in there so they could play. Well... Maya found a nice pile of fresh horse poop to roll in! I got a wet towel and got most of it out. Maya also took a nibble of the horse poop until I told her to leave it. They had a ton of fun exploring and smelling stuff. And they slept the whole way home. I should have gotten a picture of poopy Maya before I wiped it off. I forgot until after the fact that I had a camera out there. Oh well, I'm sure she'll give me another chance! Here is a picture I took of Jackie last year cooling off in a mud puddle at the barn. We haven't had rain for so long that there weren't any puddles for her this time. Goofy girls! Quote
