I've talked alot in here about the great Dog Training Club the whole family go to every Sunday morning, well they've just got up a web site!!!
For anyone interested, here is the link:

http://www.thearmidalemall.com/adtc/index.html

I went to their annual meeting last night, in my fashionable ugg boots, to become more involved in the group. Well I did! I somehow found my hand going up to be the minutes secutary after a long speech on how the secutarty really did need help and no one else put their hands up, so I felt a little guilty and raised my hand and next thing ya know, I'm an official member of the committy!!! I've never done any thing like this before, but I'll get used to my new job!!! I'm glad to feel important to tell the truth
My sister also elected herself to be the Club Store manager and in charge of the Club Library, which is cool because now I can read all the books and be getting smart quick!
I'm also going to try to organise a speech from Dr Tom Lonsdale himself through the Club, it might be better than doing it through Uni... but we'll see what happens! :D

Hi Aroura,

Your training club sounds great... very similar to the one we go to. It's run by volunteers and is not there to make a profit - we pay $10.00 annual fee and then $2.00 each time we go.

Here is the web site to my club - check out the picture of Indy on their photos page http://hdtc.8k.com/

Also good on you for volunteering to be the minutes secretary.

Yay Indie! :D
Thanks Malamum, I didn't get a proper look because my computers being stupid!! I saw Indie though
They do look similar though, run by volunteers, christmas partys and low prices! Its good, dog training should not only be fun for the dogs, but for the owners too. I used to go to training (years ago) with this guy out of town. He used to train police dogs and was very fond of the check chain and looked down on reward training. Classes were $5 a day and there were no socialisation periods, you'd take your dog, pay $5, do some heeling etc and drive 15 minutes home again.
Every body at this club is friendly and you can tell the positive atmoshere from the dogs willingness to learn. Lily never would have gotten over her aggression problems at the old place, but thanks to these guys I can trust Lily around other dogs now and even watch her play. She's doing great. Tessa on the other hand, is still afraid of obedience due to the heavy hand she experienced at the old club :-?
