bk_blue Posted August 25, 2003 Posted August 25, 2003 I thought of both of you today when I was out for lunch. There was a female Staff outside where we were eating and a Golden Retriever puppy (about 4 months, maybe). Soooo cute. He was just staring at these pigeons with such intensity. The Staffy was so friendly and she was an oldie- grey at the muzzle. Gorgeous. Quote

I bet the PIGEONS werent real happy.... The bird-doggie-ness of Goldens is amazing sometimes....and the birds seem to know it. My old Golden would stare at them like he could stop them in their tracks with a glare....but a couple of times he found babies that had fallen out of trees, and would pick them up soooo gently and bring them to me - he had natural softmouth.....their feathers werent even ruffled..... I miss him alot. Quote
abker17 Posted August 26, 2003 Posted August 26, 2003 It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside that you should think of me BK! Thanks! I love that about this board! :biggrina: :iloveyou: We're always thinkin' of each other! Like the day I got my DogFancy with the Maltese, the first thing I thought was Sanvean has got to see this! Quote
Rowie-the-Pooh Posted August 26, 2003 Posted August 26, 2003    Yah BK!   Courtnek, Rowie does the same. She loves birds! Natural bird dog she is! She will stare at them, then start to stalk them. She only caught a pigeon once. Let's say she didn't have a soft mouth *wince*. I love Goldens so much! :iloveyou: I know how hard it must have been to part with him, Courtnek... Quote
bk_blue Posted August 26, 2003 Author Posted August 26, 2003 Awww sorry K and Rowie... maybe I need to get a phone with a camera in it so I can just snap as I "talk" on my "phone". I tell ya though, lucky that golden pup was on a lead otherwise those pigeons would have been in trouble. They really didn't look that concerned though... bet that would chance if I'd brought my monster with me. Quote
