courtnek Posted August 23, 2003 Posted August 23, 2003 There are a bunch of people across the street who routinely deal drugs, and the police have been watching them for some time, but couldnt catch them in the act. I let Freebers out, and she was out for a while, and then started barking up a storm. Growling, nasty barking, not usually like her. I looked out and saw a "deal" going on. I called the guy behind me, who's a cop, and he came over and caught them in the middle of the deal. THEY WERE ARRESTED!!! Hopefully, the police will put them away and keep them off my street!! THANKS, FREEBEE!! He said if she hadnt alerted, it would have been missed. Quote

I wont risk Freebee being poisened in the meatime. I asked the cop to keep her out of it, until they could definitely win the trial, and then I would testify. I'm NOT taking any chances with Freebers safety.... or mine, for that matter....these people are NASTY... :o :o Quote

courtnek Posted August 24, 2003 Author Posted August 24, 2003 I just talked to Jeff, the cop. I dont have to testify at all. He doesnt need to say how he got the information they were dealing. Since he lives just behind me, he could have just been driving by, which he does all the time anyway, just to keep tabs on the neighborhood. So unless they ask him directly how he got this information, he wont have to say anything. And these people know they are being watched anyway. The police stake out their house regularly. Since he wasnt in uniform, and was off-duty, there is no "complaint" that he responded to. He also said it was coinicdental that I called, as he was just out the door to do his neighborhood "rounds" anyway. AAnd their house is always one of the first spots he checks. Just before I called he had checked in with the captain and said he was going to do a drive by. So Freebee and I are OUT of it, which makes me feel much less nervous. Quote
