The story is: I am babysitting two dogs of my friend who is in Hawaii for vacation. One of his dog, a mini schnauzer, keeps licking his a spot on his left front leg and the skin is moist and RED, no hair seems on the skin anymore. The skin looks a bit swollen than the rest. I searched the internet and found his situation fits "Acral Lick Granulomas" well.

Dawn (a guy from Pets4homeopathy forum) taught me to make Rosemary infusion. Also, I gave this dog Lycoposium 30C and feed him Canidae (he was on Iams). It was only last Thurs I posted a message asking for help...

This dog's skin has been improved on a DAILY basis! Every morning I can see the "red hot moist swollen" area shrink and become dry. Yesterday I could see hair regrow on the skin. Today the area, much smaller, look like pinky but with more hair on it. The area is dry, and I very seldom see this dog lick the area anymore. I am very very happy! :D :D :D

Why I choose Lyc for him is (1) he is a very mama's boy- don't want to be alone, look sad and sensitive, (2) I guess, with IAMS, his is malnourished, (3) easy panting, (4) skin problem, Carcinoma?

I am new to homeopathy, not to mention for pets. My pick might be useless... it may be Dawn's infusion cures the dog ... may be the better food... But I am surprised at the SPEED of the improvement of the skin! Considering thepetcenter.com says ..."Lick Granulomas... A Dermatology Nightmare"!

May I ask, what is Lyc and Canidea? I've never heard of them before.

It is absolutely wonderful that the dog is getting better! You should feel very proud of yourself for recognizing a problem, not a habbit, and taking care of it!

Lycopodium is a remedy of homeopathy. http://www.homeoint.org/books/boericmm/l/lyc.htm

Canidae is a brand of dog food and I feed to my own dogs. I cannot say it is the best as I also like Innova and Wellness.

As for homeopathy (I know some of you don't believe it works), I also have success of it with Blondie's itchy allergic-like problem (while the vet can only prescribe antibiotics and antihistamine). As long as it cures my pets' problem, I am very very happy ... besides it saves my LOTS of vet-visitng costs.
