Guest Anonymous Posted August 12, 2003 Posted August 12, 2003 Does anyone know about how much I should pay a friend of my son's to dogsit our shih-tzu? He is an adult, age 23, and is willing to come and stay at our house for 2 1/2 weeks while we are on vacation. Unfortunately, he works and will be gone for about 10 hours a day and she will have to be in her kennel for that length of time . I just don't know what else to do. Quote
Guest Anonymous Posted August 13, 2003 Posted August 13, 2003 I wish I could but most everyone we know works during the day. We visited a few kennels and I know she wouldn't be happy there. There were so many large dogs and barking all the time. I think that would frighten her as she is so used to a quiet house. Quote
Rosebud Posted August 13, 2003 Posted August 13, 2003 :D I have a friend who does Pet-sitting. She charges anywhere from 25.00 a day and up, depending on how many times a day she goes to the house, what the special needs for the pets are, how many pets, what kinds, and whether or not she is asked to stay the night. She stays booked and has to turn down jobs and refer to other pet-sitters. Quote
Rosebud Posted August 13, 2003 Posted August 13, 2003 :D K - The petting sitting financed my friends 2 trips to the Middle East & Europe so that she could take fire-walking classes and become certified to teach fire-walking. Not to mention several pleasure trips abroad. Quote
alicat613 Posted August 14, 2003 Posted August 14, 2003 What about dog buddies? We are always happy to have one of Parker's friends as a houseguest. Quote
