mouseatthebusstop Posted August 2, 2003 Posted August 2, 2003 I have just had the pleasure of bathing Paddy. I have been putting it off all day. I went upstairs and ran a bath of nice warm water called Paddy but he did not come. Shouted down is Paddy there no came the reply. I went down to look for him he was in the hall way sat by the door shaking all over I made a fuss of him offered a biscuit he did not want the biscuit Gladis grabbed it and ran. I carried Paddy upstairs to the bathroom and put him in. Talking to him to try to carm him. He stood and to let me wet him and shampoo him then the rince I did not use the shower as this makes him cry, wrapped in a towel I carried him downstairs. Then rubbed him dry. He wanted a biscuit for being good :D glad thats over with Quote
behle Posted August 3, 2003 Posted August 3, 2003 Poor boy! He was already happy with the way he looked and smelled, so he thinks he does not need a bath. :( Looking pitiful and shaking just might convince his mom that he could skip his bath just this once! Since that didn't work, he was stuck with getting clean. What a good boy to tolerate bathtime when he dislikes it so much. I hope he really enjoyed his biscuit afterwards! And I hope you gave yourself a treat too, for having to bathe poor Paddy! :D Quote
Shannon_C Posted August 3, 2003 Posted August 3, 2003 Awww lol, I know what its like having a dog who hates water so much. Patch tembles when I put him in the bath, his legs and whole body start to shake. I keep talking to him to calm him down but its worse when trying to wash the pads of his feet.....he grips the side of the bath so you can't get to them  He will have to have a bath soon and clipped down again....I snip bits of his hair to keep it short so it doesn't tangle.
