What are the little things that your dogs do that always make you smile?

Indy always has to know what I am doing and likes to be involved - even doing something as mundane as putting the rubbish out. I go out the front and leave him inside - the rubbish bins are kept around the side of the house underneath the dining room window. As I get round to the bins I always look up and everytime the blinds are rustling and there are two little malamute ears and a cute set of eyes trying to watch me out the window. He does it every time and it is soooo cute.

Freebee stands in the front window when I take out the trash, and runs to
the backdoor hoping I'll let her out...where I then have to fight her off from
escaping!!!!!

:D :D

My 4 month old pup walks out to the kitchen, looks back to make sure you are watching, then puts one paw in his water bowl and carries on walking as if he hasn't done anything :D

Also, when I catch him eating the flowers, grass etc in the garden, I take them out of his mouth but as soon as I turn my back he spits more out - I'm convinced he must be hiding it under his tongue :lilangel:

Blitz makes me smile when he pretends to be tough. For example he will "escort" people down to the clothesline- he leads and you follow. He tries to make it look like he's not going down there for you, as if he was going down there to have a look around anyway- but he'll keep looking back over his shoulder to make sure you're coming, and when you've finished hanging out the washing he'll "escort" you back. The big bad backyard is no place for vulnerable humans eh.

lady is just gorgeous, and she has a big personal space (unlike dresden) so she wants to be petted and all that but she won't sit with you or sleep right next to you, she'd rather be in the same room where you are but like eight feet away...........i often look up and she's just hanging out looking at me with her eyes all bright and pretty and with a big smile......she's doing it right now as a matter of fact.

what cracks me up about dresden is for one thing, she has never ever once looked innocent, she always looks like she's up to something. the funniest thing about her is all of her drawn out groaning and whining and sighing all combined with yawns and scratching the floor of her crate when she moves, usually when she wants to be let out of her crate in the morning........

My Newfoundland dogs (all 4 of them) are very food motivated....my Rottie is also...but not as pushy as my Newf's...I have a waist pouch which I carry treats when we are out for walks...I let my dogs loose out in the country in secluded areas. all my dogs are very good on recalls...when I whistle for them they come running and all 4 Newf's sit down in front of me and start punching my pouch with their noses...some times so hard they almost knock me over. I find it so funny and cute...my Rottie just sits back away from all the Newf's and watches and then comes in for her treat after ward...
I also think its gross...yet funny the way my Rottie licks all the drool from all the Newf's flews...she is obsessed with it....helps me out because she prevents slimy walls in my home.
I also love the way they each take turns sleeping with me every night...my Rottie always sleeps with me and then my 2 intact males take turns and my intact female and spayed female...the ones which are not in bed with me curl up together on the futon mattresses I have on the floor.

When Jake tries keeping up with Daisy and Chelsea at the park, and he runs with such a cute smile, and his big ears flapping in the breeze!!! He is such a cutie and such a good boy!!!

Whenever I won't do what Kavik wants or he is very excited he makes this noise . . . it's sort of a erwahwooerwoo, the more dramatic he is trying to be the longer he draws it out. I am a huge sucker for thiw noise and he knows it.
Zaphod does zoomies when I carry his dish to his eating spot, all the way, zoomie after zoomie after zoomie, all in front of me as I walk.
