Guest Anonymous Posted July 14, 2003 Posted July 14, 2003 Well, we made it to the training site by 7:15 in the morning and there were already several dogs there. I got to be a victim for a few of the other dogs to find. FUN! Then it was time for Hope to be evaluated. She showed interested in the play/prey drive area, and she located three "victims" hiding in the brush. At first it freaked her out because they were crouched amongst the bushes, but when she realized they were friendly, she was very happy! So, all-in-all they told us to come to more sessions with her because she is very young and it is hard to tell if she would really enjoy the work at this stage in her young life. So, we will continue to go! Quote
Angelboddy Posted July 14, 2003 Posted July 14, 2003 That is such great news Pup1. :D Keep up the great work. It really sounded like your little pupster really enjoyed it. :D Quote
Guest Anonymous Posted July 14, 2003 Posted July 14, 2003 Thanks all! I really hope so. I have a feeling she has great potential, too, so I will continue to take her to sessions and see what we come up with. I did mention to the coordinator that I was aware of a few pit bull search dogs around the country and he said that yes, he had heard of that, but that it was not the norm. I hear that! But hopefully one day it will be. I believe they are great candidates for search dogs, too! I wish I could figure out how to work paint so I could alter my pics and post pictures of my pups! Quote
