Guest Anonymous Posted July 12, 2003 Posted July 12, 2003 Awe! The poor babies hadn't been adopted yet!! Well... they MIGHT have now... I'm talking to my friend on msn right now, and she said that she saw them last time she was in Prince at the SPCA. She said it was on June 23rd that they were there. So hopefully they have homes by now! They were such little sweethearts!! I just fell right in love with his sister, I really wish I coulda got her... 'pecially since Coal is basiclly my mom's dog now :o She was the one who fell in love with Coal and wanted him, and since she wanted a lab not a BC, I wasn't allowed to have his sister :( I'm thinking though maybe if I got the dog I really wanted, I woulda bonded with it better? Coal is basiclly mom's dog... so I duno... But yeah, I sure hope they found homes by NOW!! But that's pretty cool that my friend saw them, what a coinky-dink! Quote
nadooshkinz Posted July 12, 2003 Posted July 12, 2003 Don't worry Shara I bet they'll find good homes! :D and as for the whole bonding thing, well maybe its cuz your thinking he's not your dog as much as he is your mom's dog, but you take him out for walks, you play with him, you train him, right? I'd pretty much say he's your dog too! :P Quote
Guest Anonymous Posted July 12, 2003 Posted July 12, 2003 no... my mom takes him out for walks and trains him... I train him sometimes, but my mom fills him up on so much cookies it's hard to!! I've tried to tell her not to, and then she acts like I'm a big bully!! :o And I TRY to play with him, but he just terrorizes me!!! :o Quote
DogPaddle Posted July 12, 2003 Posted July 12, 2003 You will, almost certainly, move out of your parents house in the next 10 years - What will happen to Coal then, Is he expected to go with you or no? Quote
Guest Anonymous Posted July 12, 2003 Posted July 12, 2003 He's supose to come with me, but my mom's trying to convince me to let him stay, she was like "Your going to be getting a new dog for school anyway!!" Quote
DogPaddle Posted July 12, 2003 Posted July 12, 2003 If your mom has bonded with him and wants to keep him and is going to do right by him (cookies aside) and you haven't bonded with him, maybe its for the best. Either way you should sit down and get it all talked out plainly so everyone knows what to expect. If you are going to keep him yourself and take him with you when you go - I wouldn't worry too much about bonding, it will come, probably sneak up on you and you won't know what hit you. Quote
Guest Anonymous Posted July 12, 2003 Posted July 12, 2003 Thanks DP, I think that's what I'll do... Quote

Alice was my sons dog she was more attatched to him but everyone else loved her and she loved us :) Quote
ellieangel Posted July 12, 2003 Posted July 12, 2003 I wouldn't worry Shara when I first got Ellie Chris was always saying 'she doesn't even like me' because she followed me around and I trained her,fed her, walked her etc  But then he started to take her out and that hour each day is so important to her,if he is in one room and I am in the other she will be with him,she adores him now. Quote
