Guest Anonymous Posted July 11, 2003 Posted July 11, 2003 Ok everyone, wish my little Hopey girl luck on her first Search & Rescue training session this Sunday!!! I am soooo excited!!! Anybody out there who does this kind of work that can tell me what we can expect? The training coordinator said the session could easily last four hours if there are a lot of dogs. So far I have looked over the pup evaluation provided by the team, and my Hope meets all the requirements there, and she is well-socialized and non-confrontational (at this stage of her life), so I expect things will go well. WISH US LUCK!!! :jumpie: Quote

Guest Anonymous Posted July 11, 2003 Posted July 11, 2003 Thanks, guys!!! :P Well Rowie, I have repeatedly tried to join, but for some reason my computer will not let me submit the information, and I have STILL not figured out how to post pictures. I don't know how to use paint very well to sizing my pictures will take a while. I would love to share them, though, Hopey is so cute!!! Quote
ellieangel Posted July 12, 2003 Posted July 12, 2003 Good luck you must update this post the minute you get in !!!!!! Good for you training her for this !! Quote
Guest Anonymous Posted July 13, 2003 Posted July 13, 2003 I will let you guys know how it went when I get home tomorrow night. I have a birthday party to attend right after the training session, so I probably won't be home until late. I am a bit nervous, not knowing what to expect and everything. I hope everything goes well. It is really important to me that I do this. I know it is demanding and hard work...I hope I am not in over my head!!! It would be great to add Search & Rescue to the list of positive things that pit bulls can do, like Kris Krawford has out in California. I have so much respect for her. I hope I can do as well as she has for the breed here in my part of the country... Quote
