Absence of Seasons/Aggression

This is about one of my five dogs - Chailea - entire female aged 2 yrs 10 months. I also have her litter sister, Grace. Grace has had three seasons, Chailea has had none! She has not had silent seasons I don't think because my Kevin dog would have probably known and told me. The other problem with Chailea is that she is aggressive to certain other dogs and there is no defineable pattern. Sometimes she rolls over on her back and wants to play with other dogs, sometimes she just goes in for the kill.

She has been more than adequately socialised from 7 weeks to present day as I run loads of puppy/dog classes that she comes to. She did have a few negatvie experiences with dogs when younger but not during the critical/sensitive period. I have had blood work done on her and it showed low testosterone and low oestrogen, similar to levels you'd expect to find in a spayed bitch. She has no ovarian activity. Thyroids were fine and blood panel fine. She has had a course of cabergoline to try and force a season but to no avail.

I am hoping that the lack of seasons and aggression are related. If they are related, I'm also hoping that she has got ovaries that have just not matured so that maybe she can come into season one day.

My next step is to consult a holistic vet.

Has anyone else come across a case like this?

Anybody got any thoughts on this?

yes it could easily lead to aggression - is she more aggressive to females than males? (just a guess)

they are run almost entirely by instinct. She may know she cant come into season, and be aggressive to other females because of it.

With low estrogen and other hormones, she may never be able to come into season, especially with no ovarian activity. It would be kinder, unless you really wanted to mate her someday, so have her spayed. Once spayed the aggression will decrease if not go away altogether, and since she cant seem to come into heat on her own it will take the stress away.
