We took Kato over to the dog park last night. We've never been to this one because it's fairly new. I guess there were around 15 dogs inside when we got there. I think some of them might have been with a rescue group. Anyway, he was having a great time - mostly peeing on everything like boys do. One woman came up and said, "What a cute dog. I haven't seen an unneutered male in a long time, hmmm." The she gave me that look like I must be a closet backyard breeder or something. I told her he was a show dog, but really it was none of her business. He isn't dog aggressive and besides marking outside, he doesn't act like an intact male. No it wasn't my preference to have an unneutered dog, but why do people have to automatically assume the worst? To me it's just as bad as the people who ask to breed their dog to him. Ugh, get away from me.

Yeah, well it's not until next week that I plan to crank up the Shiboodle factory. I need to pick up some cheap Poodles real quick.

Breed a Bull dog and a Shih-Tzu, and you get Bull-Shih's.

Are you sure it's not spelled Bull-shihtz?

Rowie, you do know that what she really wants is a sholden retreiver.

what about shobermans? or sheimeraners, maybe shippets.......i'm picturing a really tall skinny dog with random large patches of thick shiba fur and a shiba face......very scary.......

well, you could breed him to an AST, and call it the American Shstaffordshire Shterrier, and tell people that the kennel club requires you to drink heavily before showing them, to insure you pronounce the breed name correctly...

I would love to see this presumptuous lady run into one of our local doctors at the dog park and ask HER that. See, all her dogs (Rotties) are neutered, BUT she has had them all implanted with "neuticles." You know... those falsies for boys (we call them clackers in our clinic  )? I would love to see this lady's face when someone tells her they aren't real. Reckon she would believe it?

I was looking at the website and what people had to say about Neuticles was pretty DARN funny.

No, sorry to break it to you, but the absolute LEAST you could do would to NOT get your dog FAKE BALLS!

I've got a question for anyone on the board who DOES have a neutered male WITHOUT Neuticles. Does the male REALLY know that he's missing part of his manhood? Does it REALLY affect their self esteem not to have their testicles?

The answer is yes, the irony is that they feel better about themselves after they are gone. Case in point: Sally's daddy would have to balance himself swinging his jewels in the air to make sure that they rested behind him and not under him when he sat down. After he was neutered and the stitches were removed he sat down and was and still is quite content to be free of his balls acrobats. You can actually tell that the boy is glad they are gone.

Zebra is neuterd....I don't think he cares or even knows that they are gone! He was neuterd at a very young age (2 1/2 months) so i don't realy think he "grew into them" so to speak. But he is an Alpha dog anyways so i don't think him not having testicles has been any problem. I can't even imagine how agressive he would be WITH testicles... :o
