Rowie-the-Pooh Posted June 19, 2003 Posted June 19, 2003 My friends and I went on a MAJOR shopping spree today, and went to Claires for some acssosories(sp? I'm tired after walking around a HUGE mall all day!) because on Sat is activities day at school.(In Bahrain we have school on Sat and Sun and weekends on Thurs and Friday). Anyway, they have this scratch and win thing. If you spend over 7 BD(Bahraini Dinars) you get a prize. So I bought loads of things, but didn't expect to win because I NEVER have good luck. The lady gave me the cards, and I chose one, then wrote my name and stuff, then scratched...and I won(and I qoute): "A diamond earring or pendant" :o I was so shocked! And the lady was too! And she told me:"You are REALLY lucky! We have only one of those!". So they went and called the manager and stuff, and they're gonna call me to ask me which I want(the earring or pendant) and then I'll go pick it up! :D A REAL DIAMOND! I CAN'T BELIVE IT! I'll try to post pics with my cuzins Digi Cam... :D I am so shocked! :o Quote

I got given a gorgeous pair of diamond earings as a present a few years ago and I still wear them every day (they never go out of fashion), I have never bought another pair of earings since. Quote

Rowie-the-Pooh Posted June 21, 2003 Author Posted June 21, 2003 UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yesterday Claire's called, and told me they called thier manager, and that I could pick up my diamond on saturday!! So, today, I went to Claire's, and the lady was really sweet and asked if I was excited and etc... Then the manager came with two plastic kind of bag things with earring diamonds and a diamond pendant in it!! So, they told me to choose, and I chose the earring, because two is better than one! :lol: LOL, just kiddin', but it did look better!! Here I am, typing, with two diamond earrings on my ear!! And the best thing is, my cuzin came back from Scotland (where he's studying) and they invited me to come over to see him. That's not the good thing, they have a Digi Cam! :D I'm not sure of a date, but I will ask if I could take a picture of the earrings, and post them here!! :D I'm so happy, I've never one anything in my life! :D Quote
