mouseatthebusstop Posted June 17, 2003 Posted June 17, 2003 I was asked by a local school if I would take the dogs in to see the chilren. They have been doing a project on animals and pets. I went this afternoon with Paddy and Gladis it was the 6/7year olds who we went to see. The teacher said the chilren will ask you questions. I introduced the explained they were brother and sister ect Then one little asked how do you know which is the boy and which is the girl  I looked at the teacher for help she answered like any animal they have different body parts she asked me to turn them around to show the chilren. Some of the chilren wanted to stroke or just touch them so they made an orderly line one at a time came. The dogs were very good they enjoyed all the fuss   Quote

abker17 Posted June 17, 2003 Posted June 17, 2003 Aw, what a nice thing of U to do mouse! In 6th grade at our Middle School, U get to do a unit on dogs. The school has breeders come in a talk to the kids, and U learn a lot about the ididorod(sp?) next year I'm hoping to give a presentation to the 6th graders on animal abuse and what they can do to stop it. I'm normally very shy, but when it comes to educating others about animal abuse I can over come that. Quote
