I went on a long walk with Ben and saw many strange things. First a little baby crow that was hurt (probabely by a cat or then he just fell from his nest). I heard his mommy crackling in a tree so I left him alone. Besides, I didn't have anything to carry him with. The only thing I had was a plastic bag, but I didn't want tu sufficate the poor thing.
Then when we continued walking, I saw a squirl run across the street and jump in a tree just before a motor cycle drove by.
When we finally were heading back after beeing a while with my uncle's house, we met this old lady that wonderd what a strange thing Ben was.
When we FINALLY got near our home (about a block away) I saw this BEAUTIFULL long haired blue merle Collie boy. He was free with no owner in sight. First I just let him be and I thought he'd go home, but he started following me and poor Ben who was so scared! Luckilly he was an absolutely FABULOUS dog! He was so kind and wonderfull. When he just kept following us, I took him by his collar and called my mom. I told her to take Ben's second leash and come and meet me. She did that and when we got home I checked the boy's collar. Nothing. No number, no address, nothing.

I asked one of my neighbourghs if he recognized the dog, but he told me he didn't. Mom came out and we started talking. Both of them thought I'd just go where I found him and let the dog loose. "He will find his way home" they said. I didn't want to do that and I wasn't even going to. What if he would be hit by a car or something?! But I did decide to go to the place where I found him and ask around.

So I started walking back to the place where I found the boy after I put Ben home.

I asked around and nobody recognized him. One little boy told me that he had seen some old lady walk with the dog. I asked some more but that was the only clue.

I went back home and thought I'd call one of our neighbourghs who's a police and ask what to do. No anwser. So I asked dad if he recognized the dog (he was asleep when I first was home) and he told that he knew one person who had collies. It was far fetched, but they lost one dog at new year when the dog got afraid of the fireworks. He called her (an old lady) and found out she WAS missing a dog.

After a while she came and picked the dog up and I found out his name was Zorro. She was takeing care of the dog for her daughter who was away and Zorro had been out in a long leash by himself. Somebody must have gone to their yard and let him loose, because there was this lock on the leash that the dog couldn't in a million years open. The leash was lyeing on the ground and the dog had vanished. He had been missing for about three hours.

Then they went away and I went in the shower. I had to take my asthma medicin, but it wasn't that bad. I was just tired, sweaty and REALLY thirsty.

Now Ben is sleeping, dad's watching TV, mom is... I don't know where she is and I'm writeing this to you and I'm still thinking of the poor crow... :( But anyway... I think it was a good "dog-deed" of the day. :) What do you think?

Thanks... I still can't stop thinking of that baby crow... But if a cat has hurt him or something, there's nothing I can do... right?

Dad called my uncle a few moments ago and said "...she went on a walk with one dog and came back with two." I guess you can put it that way too.
