Since I sprained my ankle Sunday I decided to leave the dogs outside yesterday because I couldn't move off the couch. It was a beautiful day, not hot and not cold. I love days like that. Well, when my husband got home and brought them in I just about fainted! Bentley's white fur was red from dirt. The new puppy was covered from head to toe. And Caeser had sand from the sandbox all in his fur. I can't imagine how in a few hours outside they mananged to get so filthy! Told my hubby he was gonna have to give them a bath tonight! I'll have to get some pics and post them. They're so funny looking!

You should see what Maya looks like after she and Jackie have been rolling around and wrestling and playing in the dirt/mud after it rains! Luckily the dirt areas of the yard are growing grass now. At least Jackie is mostly black, so even if she gets as dirty as Maya, it doesn't look like it. I get a kick out of seeing dirty doggie pictures. We can ALL relate!

Yup, know all about it..having 3 Newfoundland dogs with way too much coat and I live by the ocean, walking them on the beach is like bringing it back home with ya! it is fortunate I work at a Grooming facility so I can properly bath them once a week! in between baths I use a high velocity dryer to blow out the sand and dirt (I put it on cool setting so I won't dry out their skin)

I can't wait to see those pics. Once when I took Abby to the park she found a gopher under a supply shed. She spent about an hour digging around the sides of the shed. By the time we went home she was filthy! I had to sit outside combing and washing out the dirt for at least an hour and a half. But, U know, dogs will be dogs.

i can relate to all your dirty dodg stories  all my 4 dogs for a very long walk in the countryside, fields and little streams (dykes), which are filthy and they of coruse all have to jumo and splash about in the dirty water, so they come back wet and stinky  As 3 of them go to 3 different classes at dog scool like obedience, agility and flyball, i need to keep them clean and sweet smelling  so bath time is very frequent, wet and messy........nighmare
