Guest Anonymous Posted May 12, 2003 Posted May 12, 2003 my husband and i found a stray dog today, that had been shot in the leg and looked like it was starving, we brought it home and fed it and plan on taking it to the vet tommorow or as soon as they can see us. my sister in law informed me that this dog is a weinaramer. ive looked up pictures and it looks exactly like one. he is a very lovable dog and has walked very far from the looks of his paws and nails, he just broke my heart. does anyone have any information on these types of dogs that i should know about. he gets along really well with my children and is very calm. he is anywhere from 6mo to 12mo in age. we named him rufus :P if we cant find his owner or if his owner is the one who did this to him then we are going to keep him. the gun shot in his leg when straight through and seems like it already healing up but we are going to take him to the vet like i said and get him checked out real good. if anyone has any info for me please send it thanks. I'm so glad you rescued him. I don't know much about Weimeraners, but there's a member at my site named Kristi who featured her Weimer named Tilli. If you go to Cutefamilypets.com and click on "Previously Featured Pets" -- you'll see Tilli's name and story. You might try posing a question at the forum for Kristi and she can probably help you out. They are beautiful dogs. I hope you get to keep him. I hope the guy that shot him is arrested :evil: Quote
Guest Anonymous Posted May 13, 2003 Posted May 13, 2003 thank yall so much, this is the same person that posted that topic, i just wasnt registered then lol. ellie my rufus looks exactly like your dog except much smaller. the only problem i am having right now is that he is not getting along with my other dogs. im going to give him time but if he keeps trying to fight then i will have to find him another home :cry: im hoping it is just because he is new and still scared. he is eating but not much and my vet was closed today so im going to try again tommorow. i appreciate your help so much thankyou im so glad i found this site!!!
