Marble Posted May 8, 2003 Posted May 8, 2003 do you all ever get so paranoid that if your dog is not in sight and if it's too quiet that they are destroying something? dresden has been on the move recently to eliminate all bathroom trash and eat every tube of chapstick she can find. i always keep my door closed but the other day WHILE i was in there for like a minute she ran in and out so fast i did not even see her and when i went back out she was eating my chapstick, then a few days later she tried to do it again.........the little punk, maybe eating chapstick is like catching and animal, you know, once they do it they'll always want to.......or something.......the other day she was chewing on something and i told her no very loudly because i thought it was a glue stick and then felt like a jerk because it was just her nylabone.......she looked very confused, i told her okay but she was afraid to pick her bone up again for a minute or two........poor dog. courtnek Posted May 8, 2003 Posted May 8, 2003 If my dog was too quiet I would definitely be suspicious.... She raids the garbage and chews up paper.... Quote
Malamum Posted May 8, 2003 Posted May 8, 2003 Unless I know he is asleep I don't let Indy out of my sight for more than 5 minutes at a time. He can get up to a lot of mischief very quickly. Quote
Rowie-the-Pooh Posted May 8, 2003 Posted May 8, 2003 I don't even want to start about Rowie! Quote
Rowie-the-Pooh Posted May 8, 2003 Posted May 8, 2003 Remember my old sig?? LOL! :D "Owner of the most silly, sneaky, clean X strealing Golden Retriever in the world!" Lol! Quote
sheltielover Posted May 8, 2003 Posted May 8, 2003 I am the same way with my girls. We have a dog door that is used with our sliding glass door so the girls can come and go as they please. Well, if I don't see the girls for awhile, I panic and start hunting them down. Licky, my lab/mix, likes to dig and Honey, my sheltie, will eat anything that she can. They both like to raid trash cans when they can, also. They loves finding tissues in there! I think because they make the biggest mess when torn to shreds!!! Quote
Bubblezzz Posted May 8, 2003 Posted May 8, 2003 Yep, :D Same here. :P When Cosmic is quiet for too long... something's TERRIBLY wrong!!! But Floppy is a GOOD GOOD girl though! :) Quote
Kiger Posted May 8, 2003 Posted May 8, 2003 Yeah, I'm paranoid right now. I left Kato out in the house today since he seems to have gotten over his hormone induced freakout and has been a good doggy. I gave him a speech before I left about not chewing up my china cabinet and windowsills. He cocked his head so I'm sure he understood the whole message and not just blah-blah-blah Kato blah-blah NO blah-blah-blah-blah. Please be asleep, please be asleep... Quote
Bronxie Posted May 8, 2003 Posted May 8, 2003 I had to get us a bathroom garbage can with a lid because Elle likes to eat all types of gross tissues. She loves chapstick. My cat knocks them down and Elle eats them. It's like a conspiracy between them. :o Quote

Seems to have worked: she didn't destroy anything... I'm sure she realized that lazying around is much better than having a job... Quote
mouseatthebusstop Posted May 8, 2003 Posted May 8, 2003 we get that "DOGS WITH JOBS" THEY MAKE A NOISE WHEN THEY ARE UP TO NO GOOD RUNNING ABOUT WITH SOMETHING THEY SHOULD NOT HAVE IN THEIR MOUTH :Dog_run: :Dog_run: Quote
Rosebud Posted May 8, 2003 Posted May 8, 2003 :D Oh! I feel so blessed. Sally & Rocket don't know how to get into something and not make a noise, actually I think one of them is trying to get my attention to rat out the other. Quote
Marble Posted May 10, 2003 Author Posted May 10, 2003 i'm glad i'm not the only one. every so often i feel like i'm too suspicious of her......she's been stealing clothes for so long it's been driving me nuts, she'd steal them and try to make me chase her to get them, i got her to stop doing that but she'd still steal them and destroy them before she got caught, well tonight she came walking out all proud af her crazy little self with someones nice white sock in her mouth (it was still very neatly folded in half ). the dog walked right up to me and practically handed it to me..... it was a first, step by step we're making progress........i was so proud of her :) Quote
ILoveLabs Posted May 10, 2003 Posted May 10, 2003 Quietness means nothing but trouble!!!! I know Landon by heart...if he is quiet, there is definitely something wrong. Quote
