courtnek Posted May 18, 2003 Author Posted May 18, 2003 Well, I had to postpone the meet. Last Saturday, we had severe thunderstorms and tornado's through here, and part of one of my big trees (40 feet tall) got hit by lightning. Three large limbs hit the ground, and one was still up in the tree. The one in the tree has a limb width at it's widest point of 16 inches across.....it came down last night during a windstorm and crushed part of the fence. I have to hang around here now and wait for the fencing people to come and fix it, so not even Freebee can run around in the yard. I have a makeshift wire runner set up so she can go outside and play....damn!!!!! Quote
jen Posted May 18, 2003 Posted May 18, 2003 oh courtnek i`m so sorry to hear that...so glad no-one got hurt. When do you think you`ll be able to set up the meeting again? I`m still keeping all fingers, toes and paws crossed for you  Quote
behle Posted May 18, 2003 Posted May 18, 2003 Courtnek - So sorry about the tree limb and the fence interfering with meeting Freebee's possible new playmate! That's a shame, and a real annoyance too! Hope it's fixed today! Quote
Daisysmom Posted May 18, 2003 Posted May 18, 2003 If it was meant to be, it will be!! Hang in there! Quote
Marble Posted May 19, 2003 Posted May 19, 2003 try to be patient :) he looks like such a sweet dog, very cute too! Quote
Rosebud Posted May 19, 2003 Posted May 19, 2003 :( I'm sorry to hear about the postponement. :D although this could be a big plus in your favor. It will show them how responsible you are, some people would have just went oh well I got to go see this pup the fence can wait but you put Freebie's safety first. I would like to suggest you leave kitty at home, the stress from the long car ride might really piss her off and make her look wild and mean. Quote
