I work with the Greater Miami Humane Society in trying to find their animals a home. It's so sad how many they have and how people can just drop off their pets for no valid reason other than lack of training. It's pathetic. I'm hoping to make a difference in the life of at least one.

This link has adoptable pets which I rotate on a bi-weekly basis. If you're in the Miami area, please check it often and spread the word. They all deserve a home.

Rowie, I'm just trying to do my part. You know, this past weekend, I visited PETsMART, and they had a shelter by the name of "Born Free Pet Shelter" with at least 25 pets needing a home. My heart was super-heavy when I left there without bringing one home.

I've come to the point of realizing that being a good pet owner is knowing your limits in how many pets you can properly care for. If it were up to my impulses, I would have brought at least 10 home. I fell in love with a Sheltie, with the saddest eyes you've seen on a pooch. There were so many cats and older dogs which I know are very hard to place.

When you talk to these people and they tell you the stories of how those dogs came to be there, it downright makes you cry. They deserve so much better. I'll just feel like I won the lottery if I can find ONE a good home.

Im in Fort lauderdale, and i REALLY want another dog, but i have a small apartment so it could only be a small small dog ( also says that on my lease) i know for broward county the limit is 3 animals. 2 is my limit with an apartment.


If you know of any little dogs that need a home and would be good with a hyper active chihuahua.. plese let me know. its ok if he/she isnt house trained either, i have tile floors so cleanign up is easy. :lol:
plus i have a yard with lots of pre dug holes... mimi is trying to get to china. OR strike oil.. which ever comes first. lmao

broward county shelter NEVER has any tiny dogs :(
lots of pitbulls tho, i hate the bad hype people make over them.
some of them are soooooooooo sweet that it hurts to walk away from the shelter and leave them there.. what big lumps of love they can be.
