When I was in my early teens, I had 2 bunnies I shared with my brother. We didn't take good care of them and one died.  We decided to set the other bunny "free" in the park. Of course, now I know that we probably killed it too.

My dogs make me more aware of ALL living creatures (I didn't even think about my ex-bunnies until Nicky, my bf's old dog (before Floppy) was dying) - the love I feel for them seems to have expanded the space in my heart. :iloveyou: They squeeze their way in insistantly, howl, whine and act so cute until I open all my doors (even the bedroom ones, which I never meant to! :P) and wriggle and squirm until I realise, what the hell, there's no need for doors, there's space aplenty.

:D :D :D :D :D So now, I'm like a wide open field and my dogs have the run of the place. :P Then the birds come and the bees and my bunnies have forgiven me and they're here too and it's warm and breezy and the flowers grow and my friends come picnic and I feel like I'm a better person. So YES they make my heart smile and sing and dance. :D :P :P :P Heehee, I'm in a sappy mood!!!
