Rowie-the-Pooh Posted May 3, 2003 Posted May 3, 2003 :D:D:D As some of you might know, for the summer holidays, we're 99% sure that we might be able to come visit Australia! :D :D :D The only problem is the SAARS Virus, as we need to stop over in Singapore, but my mom says that all is taken care of..:D Soo, I'de like to know, when I'm in Australia, where should I go, whats nice?(My moms asking too).. Taronga's a good one :D If I was travelling Australia I'd definately check out the Barrier reef, and stop by at the Gold Coast for a while, thats a great place :drinking: Hehe :wink: Umm, can't think of anything else at the moment :roll: Anyone else got any ideas??? bk_blue Posted May 3, 2003 Posted May 3, 2003 Oh Rowie you must come to Melbourne... you could visit me and more importantly BK. :angel: Barrier Reef is supposed to be amazing but I've never been (very far from where I live). Same goes for Northern Territory (where Uluru and Kakadu National Park are). :oops: Sydney is great, I've just been there and I was impressed- you'll love it. Melbourne is good but we have no significant landmarks, except maybe the beaches... driving down the coast is great but wrong time of year for it here (grey and rainy) :( Melbourne Zoo is pretty good too. There's some wildlife range in Dubbo (sort of near Sydney but not really LOL), and there's one in Melbourne (Werribee Park) with giraffes etc. which is pretty good. Oh also Healesville Sanctuary- lots of native animals there and it's about an hour out of Melb by car. PM me if you want more suggestions! :wink: Quote

Is there a specific area of Australia you plan to visit.? If so are you just going to visit the one spot ie. Sydney or do you plan on going to various states? Rowie is all taken care of! :D There is a wonderful, wonderful Boarding Facility at my vets. I've looked around, it's great! She will also be able to socialize with all the other dogs, and cats! And since this is my vets Boarding facility, I'm not scared something might happen, cuz I trust my vet! :D(BTW My Vet Studied in Aussie!:d I'll ask her where to go too!):D I'm sooo excited!!:d And the greatest thing is, I'm going with my uncle and cuzins, and I love them all soo much! My uncle is the funniest guy on earth! And his children are our best friends(or best cuzins)!:D It's going to be really fun!:D Will keep you updated!:D Thanks for all you're wonderful comments!:D What would I do without you guys?
