It very well may be that it is just a stray dog but alot of dogs get away from their owners as well, just to make sure that it is not already owned. :wink: then the second thing I would do is go into a vet and get them to check the dog over... Alot of people do not take these steps and then later find out that the dog was maybe abused or just very sick and one of the reasons why someone may stray their dogs is because they cannot afford to pay for the vet bills. Then ask your vet to make an appointment to get fixed they say that bigger breed dogs should be fixed about 3 to 4 months old! I have a small dog and he was 6 months old when he got chopped but now I have a Texas Red Nose Pitty and she is 3 months old and she will be fixed next month, who knows your new dog might already have a sac of pups lol!
