mydogroxy Posted March 28, 2003 Posted March 28, 2003 my pup is almost 5 months, and she's doing really well with her housebreaking. rarely do we have full on accidents. she does however have a problem with piddling here and there. sometimes she'll be playing with the cats and stop for one second, pee the tiniest amount on the carpet, and keep going. or she'll run inside to get a toy, run back in with it, and again stop and pee just a tiny bit. i don't know why she's doing this. sometimes it happens within a 1/2 hour of a walk! i was wondering if anyone had any experience with this or advice? she also had a problem with submissive urination whenever my boyfriend would come home, but that has stopped. i don't know if the two are related. Daisysmom Posted March 28, 2003 Posted March 28, 2003 Chelsea does the same thing :o She is about 6 months!!! I think it will go away on it's own, but in the interim, it is a big pain in the ... Jack :o (get it? you would have had to read the other post) Any way, hope they outgrow it soon!! And, I hope you do get suggestions, because I will steal them  Quote
DogPaddle Posted March 28, 2003 Posted March 28, 2003 Excellent word substitution Daisymom, I think I'll adopt that where nec, if you don't mind. Submissive and excited peeing are linked and can go away with age or may require training to reduce. Sometimes a schedule helps, let me know if you think its nec and need any suggestions. Quote
snowdogs Posted March 28, 2003 Posted March 28, 2003  My parents german shepherd puppy that is 7 months old still does that. one of the dogs I had growing up did this until she was about 2 years old. So good luck. Quote
