I've been feeding my two Golden Retriever mix girls Science Diet dry food ever since I've had them, and have been feeding them the Science diet large breed dry food for the last several months (which has glucosamine and chondroitan in it).

After hearing what goes into most dry dog foods (including Science Diet), I would like to change them to a dry dog food with human-grade ingredients, but there are so many brands out there that I would like some recommendations. I definitely DON'T want to do a raw diet, but want to stick with a dry dog food, just a healthy one.

Thanks for your help! :D

I got some samples of this food from my pet store. It is made by the same company as Innova. Anyone know if it is any good? It is WAY less expensive than Innova. I am still frozen with indesisiveness on which food to switch Frodo to if you can tell lol.

Here are the ingredients. Anything bad??

Lamb Meal, Brown Rice, Sunflower Oil (with Vit E), Rice, di-Alpha Tocopherol (vitamin E supplement), Potassium Chloride, Choline Chloride, Calcium Carbonate, Zinc Proteinate (chelated source of zinc), Iron Proteinate(chelated source of iron), Beta Carotene, Niacin, Calcium Pantothenate, Copper Proteinate, Manganous Proteinate, Menadione Sodium Bisulfite Complex, Thiamine Monoitrate, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride, Riboflavin, Vitamin D3, Vitamin B12, Folic Acid, Iodine supplement, Biotin
-Also, this food is recomended to dogs who have problems with normal dog food. Frodo doesn't. About $7 for 5 lbs.

Innova seemed to be better. All whole foods. Meat, carrots, rice, other veggies. But also $12 for 5 lbs.

How do either of these compare to Diamond or Canidae?

I guess I am leaning towards one of these. I know they are all good. Is one better than the rest tho? Finally a pet store by me carries good food!

Also, is it going to be hard to switch him from Eukenuba. I heard it was a sweet food compared to the more natural brands.

Thanks
