Guest Anonymous Posted March 7, 2003 Posted March 7, 2003 It has only been many mnay weeks, and frustration from the airlines NEVER EVER EVER FLY DELTA!!! Tey have such strict guidelines for shipping temp there is the actual temp and the "feel-like" temp. we had to get above 20 here but below 70 in FL. the cargo holds are not climate controlle don thier flights, but they fly into nebraska. SO we waited and waited, whenever it was warm enough here it was too warm there and when it wasnt cool enough there it was too cool here. and then there were the flight changes and the temps there and all the different regulations between states, and OH MY GOD!!!! its a pit bull. So we changed to United they only fly as far as Kansas City but they are climate controlled there is no problem with the temp and changes and I will be getting my boy tomorrow. I hate shipping, my next dog will be from a lot closer. There i feel better now Quote

I could have my new baby shipped but the drive to PA is only 8 hours. So we are driving. I just cant let a baby fly alone! Well have a great time and take lots of pics to show us!! Quote

I had the same problem with my Backwoods pit pup it was in the middle of the summer and Arizona and Alabama are both very hot not to mention I had to go to phoenix to get her and in phoenix(2 hours south of me) it gets very hot up to the triple digits so I had to wait a while(but not as long as you) and I ended up picking her up in the middle of the night but she made it A ok. If I was shipping a dog from Florida to here, It'd never happen (it's currently -18 degrees outside). It would be easier to just walk to Florida, get the dog, then walk back. LOL.
