Zapod ate a silver coloured coin, not sure if it was a quarter, nickle or dime. (Someone was "watching" the dog for us.) So I'm thinking a nickle or dime might not be a problem but a quarter??? We have vet appointment on Thursday anyway for vaccination so I will mention it then. Any experience with this?

No I can live without the quarter.
I think Zaphod is doing just fine. He is in the process of pinning Kavik right now and does not seem to be having difficulty eliminating.

Not to alarm you, but if you don't see it within a few days I think you should immediately take him to the vet.

Objects like this can sometimes get caught in all the loops and what-not. The real risk is that it can cut the bloodflow off to a region of the intestine, which causes it to die. This will then require surgery to try and remove the dead section and try to patch the two healthy ends back together.

Don't get too freaked out though. It will almost certainly pass, just keep an eye out for it.
