Guest Anonymous Posted January 25, 2003 Posted January 25, 2003 I have been ridiculed for being a breeder of the WONDERFUL dogs for 7 years now. I am a little bit curious as how you all feel about the breed. Even though it was the breed who killed the young woman in SF, that doesn't make the breed bad. Anyway, if you don't want to be honest because you really dislike the breed, I understand. But I'm strill curious of your opinions on the breed, and the Cane Corso as well. (by the weay, the Canary dog may have been specifically bred for fighting, but the Cane Corso wasn't, it was bred for Cattle Droving which is one of the things I breed for here at my farm.) 8) Quote
Black GSD Posted January 25, 2003 Posted January 25, 2003 I don't have any hard feelings against ANY breed. Only "bad owners". (Please don't think I am talking about you.) Good for you for sticking with it no matter what others say. Here is a question for you. What are the main differences between the Canary Dog and the Cane Corso? I really know nothing about them. Have seen pictures in mags and online but have not done any research on either breed. It seems to me that they look quite a bit alike. Are they closely related? Or is it just coincidence? PLEASE enlighten me. :D Quote
Nancy B Posted January 25, 2003 Posted January 25, 2003 I think it takes a very responsible and intelligent owner with strong leadership qualities to own one of those breeds. Of course, I also believe that's what is required to own my breed responsibly. Quote
