Guest Anonymous Posted January 24, 2003 Posted January 24, 2003 I was reading some posts at Sit Stay, cuz I haven't been there FOREVER, and I came across this one... I never replied it though, people there get mad when you voice your own opinion usually  my 3 year old wolf seems to get along just fine with his pet kitten. at one time I had about 20 cats around here, (lost count), too many of which were kittens. one day I had enough, and gathered them all up and found homes for them. when I got home I began cleaning up the mess and I heard one plaintive little cry behind the couch. I almost decided to find a new home for the last one I had missed, but decided to try life with just one feline, promising myself I'd get her neutered asap, and no more kittens. I left out one of the 6 litter boxes and one of the 8 cat water dishes and one of the umpteen cat food dishes and wished her the best of luck fending for herself with the woof. That was about 6 months ago, and the several times I saw Woof playing with her, I was dubious as to her survival, but of course I only see them part time, as I do work full time. She has managed to survive and thrive actually. I knew that Woof would not injure her on purpose, having seen him with the previous felines, but I expected she would leave asap because he's so big and rowdy. to this day, she has never been one step outside even though Woof comes and goes using the woof door any time he pleases. several weeks ago I was spinning Woofs undercoat into yarn, and I noticed he was in a play posture, all of a sudden he leapt back, ran down the hall, back up the hall, jumped over the table, over me onto the couch, bounced back onto the floor and back into play posture under the table. as he repeated this several times I noticed the cat was hiding under the table, and would rush out and bat him on the nose, which would start his romp through the house. Since that day I have noticed several variations on this game, "chase the wagging tail" seems to be the cats favorite, but she will play tag and chase as well. recently I saw them playing "bat the whiffle ball" with each other which is funny to watch. My favorite is still "hide and chase", she hides and he finds her, then she chases him around the house. She pretty much ignores me except for mealtimes, or when I'm spinning wolf fur, she is his pet. if I try to play with her when he's around, he gets all jealous and starts wanting to romp with me, then he drags her off to some dark spot mauls her around some then they go to sleep, weird. I tell my coworkers about it and they aren't sure if they believe me, but that cat thinks she's a wolf. Quote
bk_blue Posted January 24, 2003 Posted January 24, 2003 :o The story is cute... but everything else :x I am not even going to start on this owner... Quote
Guest Anonymous Posted January 24, 2003 Posted January 24, 2003 I know that's how I felt... but I figured I'd post it on here, in case anyone had the time and/or effort to! LOL Quote
