Dog lit on fire

:eek2: That is so HORRIBLE!
There is a dog at a shelter here in OR that is in need of medical attention. It (not sure if a he or she) is a Chihuahua that was probably dumped by the shelter and was hit by a car. Both back legs are in bad shape. I think one has a fracture and the other needs a pin. In all the cost will be about 1,000 dollars. They really need donations! The paper won't put in a article about it, and the shelter doesn't have the money for surgery, etc.
If anyone can help the address is:
Saving Grace

Pet Adoption Center:

943 Del Rio Road,
Roseburg, Oregon 97470
Phone: 541-672-3907

They don't have a name for it yet, so if you do donate you should probably put for the Chihuahua or something.
Thanks for your help!

You know........I don't understand how anyone, if they are a human being could treat any animal in such a cruel way. It breaks my heart to read a story like this one and wonder how many are terribly abused each day. :(

All of us who have ever loved a pet would know how emotionally envolved people are with their animals. They become like your children. This puppy's parents never thought any danger would come to their baby from this boy. It's scary. What creeps me out is how the boy encouraged the dogs to trust him and then did a horrible thing like this. I've seen people kick dogs that were only trying to be friendly and yell at them. I guess they don't think animals have feelings. If he could gain the trust of innocent animals and then torture them, what will he do later? There needs to be strickter punishment for acts like this, adult or child offender.

I know I'm a little late in replying but I haven't cried this hard in a long time. I just don't understand! I'm speechless.
(Prayer) Please God end the cruelty and suffering that humans inflict upon others!
Lucky you are a brave little soul, hang in there.

SOME PEOPLE THINK OF ANIMALS AS JUST THINGS THAT HAVE NO
EMOTIONS OR FEELINGS. PEOPLE THAT HAVE A HEART WOULD THINK
OF ANIMALS AS FEELING,LOVEING,ETC. I JUST DONT UNDERSTAND
WHY PEOPLE WOULD TREAT AN ANIMAL LIKE THAT. THAT ANIMAL TRUSTS YOU
ENOUGH WITH THEIR LIFE TO COME TO YOU NOT THINKING ITS REWORD
WOULD BE DEATH OR PAIN. I THINK THERE SHOULD BE MORE LAWS ABOUT THIS KIND OF THINK BUT ITS NOT UP TO ME. IF MORE PEOPLE TRY TO HELP ANIMALS LIKE THESE, THEN MAYBE THEIR DEATH RATE WILL GO DOWN. BUT ONE CAN ONLY HOPE.

WHY????
Why would someone do that???

If that was my dog I'd find out who it was that did it and see to it that the rest of their lives were miserable. I'd tell the story to all their future employers.

Does anyone have any other information about this?

I really can't believe that would happen. I know cases of serial killers that did stuff like that just for fun, but even they didn't befriend the dogs first. They dehumanize their victims(human or otherwise), NOT seriously befriend them!!! If he was that disturbed, wouldn't someone have noticed before this happened?

I just think Occam's Razor says someone else did it, and the police aren't always right. I'd hate to see the real culprit go free. They should investigate the case more thoroughly.

If this is true, though, he'll probably be the new Maryland sniper in a few years.
