When ever I get up from the couch, Kenzo takes my place.

At this moment, Hubby is in the shower and I'm on this thing...and he JUST got up and comfortable in my spot. NOT DAD'S, but mom's. He'll sit in dad's spot if I'm on the couch. Otherwise he's always in mine.

As soon as I go over there, just look at him, he'll get up and move.

Do you think he's testing me, wanting to be in my spot cuz he loves me  or is just being a dog and there is no reason to it?

Haha! My cat use to (since my sister took her! ) do this to my mom! She would always steal HER chair! sometimes mine, but usually mom's... I think it's just if you give a big reaction about it maybe? Cuz mom would have a hairy fit and toss her off the chair! LOL Taz would just meow inocently! hee hee

Well, I've never given him a big reaction to it....plus, I think I should add that he rarely lays with me on the couch. He always lays with hubby, but then again, Kika is always next to me.

My puppy does sorta the same thing, she has her own couch, my husband has a chair and i have a couch, most of the time she likes to sit on either of us. Any time i go to sit in any of those places, she beats me to it, right as i am 6 inches from sitting. There she is right uder me. She never does it to my husband, it could be our fault we laugh when she does it but does it more than a game?

He gets in your spot because it's warm and he likes your smell. It is comforting and it makes him feel secure.

WOO HOO!

Ha ha...hubby thinks that Kenzo digs him more...but I've always known better. Hubby is just stricter, comes home first to see and deal with the damage, and hubby is the alpha.

But Kenzo likes MOM better. Mom spoils and comforts him. :D

He's my little buddy.

Dang it. It's 7:37 AM and can't go home to see him till 4......
