But, as I said, all I've done is think and research. All I am sure of at this moment is that I want to bring a new dog into my family. Since I work at a shelter, a rescue dog is my preference. The more replies I get from breeders on this site, the more I feel breeding her is not the way to go. The world doesn't need more pups without homes and it's not worth the risk to Rita's health. I'm sorry if I offended anyone, but my intentions are not bad. Please don't jump all over me anymore. :roll: Quote

Breeding is such an involved and complicated endeavor, and even with all the experience and knowledge and help in the world, things can go wrong. A woman I know who has bred Danes for many many years just lost her beloved girl due to complications in whelp. She is absolutely devastated. Quote
