Guest Anonymous Posted January 5, 2003 Posted January 5, 2003 Hello! Our female pug's breasts have become increasingly large. We believe it's because our male pug tried to mate with her and somehow made her body believe she is pregnant. We have tried cocoa butter to decrease the size of them, but it doesn't seem to work. Have any suggestions about getting our pug's shape back? Thanks! -Tammy Quote
mcobbin Posted January 5, 2003 Posted January 5, 2003 on the second page of the "everything about dogs" forum, there is a discussion called Dog pregnancy. you may be interested in some input people had there about false (aka hysterical) pregnancies in dogs. but, like K said, you should really take her to the vet and make sure that she ISN'T pregnant before you assume that she's having a false pregnancy. it's actually rare. and if she IS pregnant, you'd need to put her on a special diet as soon as possible...better safe than sorry! Quote

Secondly is she overweight? as this can lead to fuller looking boobies Is she generally fit and healthy ?getting enough excercise? Is it all the boobies at once?.if not you need to consult a vet. And as for creme would a vitamin E creme help as it has elasticity returning properties? Silly questions? I need HELP! My dog's breasts are unusually large. NO...she is not pregnant. She is not overweight whatsoever. She is in perfect health. We treat our dogs like royalty...trust me. These dogs have a huge front yard and back yard to run in, and get walks everyday. All I need is help....not a nasty attitude telling me how to take care of my dog. Next time, GIVE ME HELP! Thanks! Quote

She was asking if the dog could be pregnant, saying that it's silly to ask, but since you never stated in your previous post if she could be, then she felt she needed to ask. Hence, silly question. No one ever accused you of not treating your dogs right. K was just asking for more information to see if she could help you. NOT BEING NASTY AT ALL. OK???? Better now? Quote
