Guest Anonymous Posted January 3, 2003 Posted January 3, 2003 As you guys can see from the avatar pic I am getting a pup. He is in FL right now and i am in NE. This was posted once in anotherforum but not everyone got a chance to see it because they werent involved in that discussion so now i bring this out here to the masses. I am trying to find the best way to tranport my pup, not necessarily the fastes or the cheapest(but hey a nice combination is good) but a safe way fo him to get to me and have a pleasant first experiance with travel. I recieved some really good feedback and excellent websites last time so lets see what the rest of you think. thanks in advance Quote
Guest Anonymous Posted January 3, 2003 Posted January 3, 2003 We had to air ship ours (both dogs) from Washington state to Iowa...it cost about $170 each on Delta Dash. Not real happy about having to ship them but that was the only way for us to get ours. Quote
Guest Anonymous Posted January 3, 2003 Posted January 3, 2003 HA HA Sash. YOu guys are crazy, M job is sooo much easier when i get to sit here and joke with you guys. I actually was looking at a driving service that did look pretty good. But they have a schedule of when they make runs to certain areas and things like that so i had to send them a few emails so i could get an idea of the time frame that they are looking at. Quote
Guest Anonymous Posted January 3, 2003 Posted January 3, 2003 I just looked at it it looks like they are primarily NY based. I need LONG distance. I was thinking would it be cheaper to go for a agency based from FL at least that way it is a one way trip.... Just thinking out loud Quote
wildbunch Posted January 4, 2003 Posted January 4, 2003 Alright Rott you wanted more you get more. http://directory.google.com/Top/Recreation/Pets/Travel/Transportation/ (directory of transportation services) http://www.transpetonline.com http://www.pettransporter.com/offices.htm (Have Florida Office) http://www.airanimal.com/ (based in Florida) Heres a couple that were recommended by breeders: Spoke with and recommend a new hauler - Buckeye Dog Haulers Mary Ann or Leslie 740-892-2862. They are going to get $175.00. They plan to cover TN, MO, IL IN and would make quotes on other states. Give them a call if you need a puppy moved! We have used Steve Preston to deliver our puppies several times and have been very pleased ! Please give him a call if you are needing transportation for your pup. 419-230-8645 You can e-mail him at stevep115@yahoo.com He gets 200.00 Note: I think he does not make deliveries until Spring now... Someone else suggested Redwing Haulers 509-684-9110 - cell 509-680-2602 Also understand he gets 200.00 I had one of our customers tell me about a pet transportation service. It is expensive but compares to what one pays for airline shipping and this sounded much better and easier! Pups have to be 9 weeks old and they schedule runs leaving the 1st of the month and the 15th of the month. Anyway, check this out and see what you think! http://www.feathersandfurvanlines.com/animaltransportation.ht m The last one looks good and if you look at the schedule they should be in Florida the last half of each month on their way west to Oregon. http://www.aimrelocation.com/pettravel/airlines.html (This one gives you info on shipping a pet by air. All airlines!) Does this help? When we were looking into transportation for vacation from Wyoming to Florida we checked into all sorts of stuff. Ended up driving but still had quite a long list of other options. Hope this helps. Let me know if you need any more. There is quite a list. Also some of the members from Florida might be able to help. Quote
