Guest Anonymous Posted January 2, 2003 Posted January 2, 2003 Hello, I have not been on the board in a while. As some remember I have 2 great Pits: Hollywood (62 lbs @ 9 months)& Hercules (57 lbs @ 9 months). Well on Christmas Day Hollywood was playing in the backyard and somehow ripped a nail off his front left paw. He was of course bleeding. I used flour to stop the bleeding and wrapped it up and put on a sock. I did take him to the Vet a few days later. The Vet said he would be fine and the nail was already growing over the quick and would be straight. It's funny how important your Best Friends are to you? They love us un-conditionally and we give it back to the best of our ability. The difficult part is knowing what kind of pain or feelings the dog has when they are hurt or ill. Especially a Pit because they have an extreme high tolerance to pain. -Hollywood Quote
Guest Anonymous Posted January 2, 2003 Posted January 2, 2003 The Boys are doing well. I haven't done the "ops" yet. They both behave very well at home or at the dog park. They actually don't care who the top dogs are at the dog park. They just want to have fun. The Vet also said the boys behave very well and I have done a good job with them. -Hollywood P.S. Hollywood didn't even limp. He just carried on playing with his brother after it happened. Quote
Guest Anonymous Posted January 2, 2003 Posted January 2, 2003 You can actually take them to the dog park, that may change as they mature watch that closely. With APBTs it is usaully a full on fight and not just a snappy squabble. So it miight be going great and then one day boom your dog almost kills some dog over a tennis ball. (Not to judge your baby mindm you just to give you the perspective everyone at the dog-park would have) Quote
