I do not mind you talking trash about BarkingBuddies, or saying that we all fight our dogs- well I bet if you would come to some of our houses you would see that we love our dogs as much as you do. I wrote a post about how everybody should just stop fighting about which board was better, and how it didn't matter...it was just a very childish thread, and one of your members bites back at me like that.

I don't get it, you people say you hate BB...yet some of you still go there? you don't understand that the people who talk about fighting dogs, etc., are the people who are dog-haters and who go on the board to just antagonize and get a rise out of all of the dog-lovers there...and I am sorry that you guys don't let different people here to share their opinions. Is it all about keeping peace? I think not. I like people to share their opinions so I can share my opinion with them also, maybe we can reach to someone who has a messed up thinking....

Mei-Mei was the only person from dogo who showed care, she came to our board and invited us all to come and join you. She was such a sweet person, so Mei-Mei thank you for being so kind!

You have to also understand that BB does not have any moderators- everyone is free to say whatever they please...everyone. And were not there to bite back to them because what they believe does not agree with what we believe, we are there to offer some help and discuss about dogs. if you understand this- it is not a perfect world out there. people fight dogs, people abuse dogs, people do many cruel things to animals. its reality- one day you are going to have to face it. whether you try to knock some common sense in these people, or maybe try to end what they are doing- it still is going to continue to go on. We cannot keep certain people from going on BB. And I am sure some of the people have taken some of the information on BB and learned from it, especially the debates.

So if you all have nothing nice to stay, if you are going to be snobby towards us and think of yourselfs higher than us, then let it be. All I can say is that I want to be the person my dog thinks I am...and I don't think that person would go around slamming everyone else, or putting others down- or saying rude things to one another....

Thank you for the replies. I have no doubt that you all are nice people, and love your dogs very dearly. But I was just asking that you give those at BB some of the same respect, yes I know that some of them don't deserve it...but remember, they are still human beings...and some of them just young children, 11-13 yrs. old. They are out there to cause trouble, and we are not going to let that stop us from gathering with the small amount of dog lovers that we have there. I thank you all very much for your kind welcome...I will continue to come on the board, and check in once and a while. Again, none of you offended me- it just caught me at a surprise that two seperate boards could fight like that, it was just un-needed. I know that this board has wonderful people, and I know that BB has wonderful people.

And DeepSeaSnake- its not all fun and games at that board, some people do come for help. Since there are some very rude people there that do not belong to the board, but come and antagonize us, it makes it hard to have more dog lovers come. They often end up leaving. But I think we could all help those people out...and it was very nice of Mei-Mei to welcome those good dog-lovers here:) I really do appreciate that...

Oh and deepsea, please can we end the name calling? Those are human beings, not morons. Like I said, most 11 yr. old children. And there are some immature adults, but hey- we will have to deal with that. Don't stoop down to their level...and I don't loose my sleep over it, and you are still welcome there, but it seemed to me as if you thought everything in that thread was funny, and you were getting enjoyment out of people arguing- and then the commets you made to me, I just thought it needed to be brought to an end. all of it. So can some of us (the ones who do indeed want to get to know you all, and who do not fight our dogs, and who are devoted dog mothers/fathers) get along now? I realize there are a lot of "ifs" to what I am about to say, but...

If indeed this is BB's "Midnight" as Kiwi said above (and this person hasn't yet admitted or denied it), I just don't understand you. You say that there are so many children who are members of BB, but Midnight (you?) is/are one of the most vocal advocates of dog fighting on that forum, finding so many ways to validate what is blatantly wrong. If not a total advocate, you do spend a lot of time in Hmmm's personal amen corner advocating HIS/HER dog fighting. I am deeply disturbed that now you are concerned with the language at BB as there are apparently so many children and, gee, we don't need to expose them to blatant vulgarities, but you aren't the least bit concerned with these same children learning that matching dogs in fights is ok. I've been following the posts where you find several creative ways to justify breaking the laws and I am the one who posted there about how not liking laws doesn't exempt one from obeying them and pointed out that "loving" these dogs does not make it right (remember the reference to spousal abuse and child molestation, all acts carried out by people who "love" their victims? That was me). My very few posts there have been very respectful in my disagreement.

All this is said because I am sensing major double standards here. Either one is a pet lover, or they are not, but nothing that ANYONE can say will ever lead me to believe that a responsible pet owner would ever do anything to intentionally put their pet in harm's way and, on BB, you did admit that you believe that dogs are injured and even killed in this "sport," but blew it off as it just being a part of it. How could one love anything and then put it in a position to be injured or killed?

Anyway, I really hate to participate in "board wars," but I will vehemently speak out against anything I even perceive to be acceptance and approval of dog fighting. One can justify it any way they wish, but a spade is still a spade. With so much BS surrounding APBTs as it is, I loathe anything that puts another feather in the cap of the BSL folks. The fact that it is just plain cruel and immoral is another matter entirely.

Again, this is assuming this is "Midnight." If not, I don't know you from a cat's butt, but welcome, anyway.

I am not Midnight, But I have got to give it to her- she does have lots of good information to give out, I don't agree with all that she has to say. In fact, on that board I went by the name of "DogAddict" in that particular post...it was "sickandtired". As a matter of fact, I am only 16 myself...I have actually posted here before as "Ilovelabs". At this moment, I cannot figure out my sign in password. I have tried and tried, I have too many boards that I am a member of, and too many things to remember passwords to- I guess you could say I am forgetful :-? I own a rotti/lab mix and a yellow lab mix, who were both rescued. I try my best to stay out of the arguments at the board, but I knew that at this board and that board there were good people- and it was just a shock to me to see people from to different boards go in conflict like that.

I have been here before, a while ago. I liked it, but eventually stopped coming. Sorry if my name confused you, next time I post I will be sure to use ILoveLabs, once I figure out the password..lol. I am also a member of www.justlabradors.com, a wonderful board for any of you lab lovers! I am a responsible teenager who takes full responsibilty of my two dogs, and all I was asking was that we could get along, I felt kind of strange seeing that you all hated BB- and going there and here, just didn't seem right. But seriously, there are people over there who ask for help, and I like to offer it to them. I am not all-knowing about dogs, but for my age- I know quite a bit. all I do is study about them in my spare time- and try and help to put the ones in shelters in good homes. Mine were rescued also. As a matter of fact...landon just turned 6 months this week!! I cannot believe that I have had this bundle of joy for 4 months- what a great 4 months it has been. I hope you guys will accept me into your board, I already posted a "Hello Everyone" subject...yup, that was me. honest to goodness....heres another picture of landon taken today- I am sure if he could reach right through the screen and give you all slobbery doggie kisses, he would:)

Ok, Ilovelabs, I just wanted to be sure I knew what was going on. I'm glad to know that you aren't Midnight (meaning I hate guessing who is who). I was just so worried that someone would be concerned with language and content for children and then advocate teaching them violence. Understanding is the best thing. Well thanks everyone, I have to agree with you to a point that a lot that goes on in there has nothing to do with dogs- well, it does in a way....some of the stuff I try to stay away from. I visit the general dog section sometimes- to see what is going on, and sometimes there are serious questions that do come up. So I will not say that everything on there is irrelevent to dogs. Some of the people that go there do have a messed up way of thinking, I will admit that also. But there are lots of people like that in the world, lots and lots of them...sometimes it worthless to even try to have a debate with them about something you disagree on, but hey- sometimes they do learn something from it...

I am sorry if I didn't post as ILoveLabs, I just forgot to sign in- then went to and I couldn't remember my password. so sorry if that all messed you up. It will show me as a guest because I still dont know my passwor :-? Well, I wanted to say to those of you who kindly replied "thanks" and also- if anyone has a problem with me, thats fine also...

I am going to be truthful with you all, whatever you ask me. I am not going to go to that board and talk trash about you, and I was just hoping that the same would happen here. if you don't like some or all of the people there, fine than- thats between you and them. and you can just drop it right there..because does it really effect you? But I know that if someone says something about fighting dogs, which Itotally 100% disagree with- I will state my opinion whether they like it or not. Its called "unknowledgeable about dogs"- people who breed just for money, people who fight dogs, etc.

So with that- I am ending this post. I am not a person who is going to go back and forth to the two boards and act two different ways, I am not a person who is going to hide my identity, I am going to be truthful with you all...honestly. I hope I am welcome around here:)

Like I said...my goal in life is to be the person my dog thinks I am...:) will I ever reach it? no- my dogs think to highly of me- and I am an imperfect human beind...many flaws..heh:)
