Guest Anonymous Posted December 15, 2002 Posted December 15, 2002 HI, WE'RE THE NEW OWNERS OF A PUPPY MINI DACHSHUND. WE ARE WONDERING HOW TO RESEARCH THE HISTORY OF THE DOG. WE HAVE THE PAPERS, AND THE PARENTS, BUT DOESN'T GO INTO DETAIL. IS THIS A POSSIBILITY TO FIND THIS INFO ON THE WEB? Quote
Guest Anonymous Posted December 15, 2002 Posted December 15, 2002 Sometimes you will have a name with a kennel in front and you can look for that kennel on the internet and they may have that dog listed on their site.. Or just search the dogs name... For instance one of my dogs ancestors is Ch Broadreach Preferred Stock. Just search the name Or do as Connie said and go to AKC and you can put in the AKC # .. Your breeder could tell you more. Quote
gooeydog Posted December 15, 2002 Posted December 15, 2002 What registry are the papers from? And why don't you ask the breeder? If they're even half decent, they should know the lineage of their dogs and be able to give you some history. Quote
Carolk9s Posted December 15, 2002 Posted December 15, 2002 Maybe I'm a step behind, but just to clarify, do you want detailed history on your particular pups heritage or the dachshund in general? Quote
