deepseasnake Posted December 12, 2002 Posted December 12, 2002 the trick here is to find the freaks and actually there is a petco 20mins from my house and they are REALLY good and I mean REALLY good as far as herps go, not sure about anything else. but thier reptile guy is an absolute freako propeller head herps is all he knows and that is good stuff for us. another store about 40 minutes away called Boa Reguards is another freak owned place and they give excellant advice and sell very healthy animals so my advice is find the freak :D Quote
eggrolyn1223 Posted December 12, 2002 Posted December 12, 2002 So isn't Petsmart like that too?Since they sell birds and reptiles and hamsters? But then I dunno where I would get stuff for Duck, since all the other pet stores sell animals too.... :( Anybody know a place that doesn't sell animals in Plano, TX? :-? Guest Anonymous Posted December 12, 2002 Posted December 12, 2002 Well, as I went to feed the pups last night I realized I'm gonna have to go back to PetCo today to get another bag of food. I can't place an online order since they only have another days worth of food left....Dang it. Quote

Guest Anonymous Posted December 12, 2002 Posted December 12, 2002 I would check shelters and rescues for small animals rather than pet stores. Little critters get put down too. I ,too, worry far more about dogs...but it's wrong to breed any animal for profit. About Guinea Pigs...many show breeders are really wonderful, but some are not... several sell "left overs" (pets) to pet stores. Some cull, some breed lethal genes, etc. They are not like dog show people. Can you imagine dog show breeders selling their pet pups to pet stores! :o Not going to happen!!! So, for pet piggies adopt from shelters or rescues and for show piggies be careful about which show breeder you buy from. Connie Quote
