Guest Anonymous Posted December 6, 2002 Posted December 6, 2002 At one time i found a survey like page that asked me what qualities I wanted in a dog and then gave me suggestions. I am looking for a dog for a friend of mine and would like to find them the right dog. Does anyone know where I can find such a thing? I appreciate the help. heather Quote
yellowlabsrule Posted December 6, 2002 Posted December 6, 2002 I know of two. One is at www.dogchow.com then click on breed selector. Another is at www.puppyfinder.com and click on breed selector also. Remember, the breeds these things give you are only suggestions, you still need to do your homework, etc. A good website to see the goods and bads of a breed is www.yourpurebredpuppy.com Good luck! anne3149 Posted December 7, 2002 Posted December 7, 2002 Most people have a preferred breed. I would let the friend choose his/her breed of dog him/herself. Better this person goes to a few dog shows (all breed) and ask LOTS of questions. I love dogs mostly more than people but there are breeds I would not like to have in my home. Quote
Guest Anonymous Posted December 7, 2002 Posted December 7, 2002 The worst thing that can happen to any puppy or adult dog is to have been picked for a friend by a friend. They wind up in shelters at best. Quote
