Guest roo Posted November 28, 2002 Posted November 28, 2002 Well it really depends what country you are in  In the uk they have puppy walkers, they get the pup very young (about8 weeks i think) house train it socialize it, walk it etc, then it goes back to the training centre. look it up on the web. or let us know what country you are in and someone may be able to give you the info you want  Roo Quote
Bensam Posted November 28, 2002 Posted November 28, 2002 Same way in Australia. It's a great thing to do apparently, but I don't think (I know) I could ever part with a dog after having it so close as a baby. The people who do this are hero's. My last Min Pin was going to go to a pet home once he was titled in the show ring. Got his title at 13 months, that was 5 years ago and he is still here! Guest Anonymous Posted November 30, 2002 Posted November 30, 2002 It is a wonderful thing to do, but it is not for everyone, as it's so very hard to give up a dog after having had it for a year or so. Be aware that the organizations are very particular as to who raises these dogs, and you and your family, your lifestyles, your home, and job situations will be thoroughly investigated and rightly so.
