OK while browsing through the Trading Post I spotted two mixes that would look rather odd... :-?

St Bernard X Blue Heeler (this one is courtesy of ACA puppies, "as seen on Burke's bloody Backyard")... "solid strong pups" apparently... hmmm whatever... :o iwhat would happen if it had the size and strength of a Saint with the herding and nipping and intelligence of the Heeler? (not to say Saints aren't smart K! ) Bit of a potential disaster maybe?

and...

Pug X Shih-Tzu.... wouldn't it be really ugly? Like a longhaired rat with a squashed in face??

Rotty X Heeler crosses --- sometimes the pups look exactly like a Heeler, only larger, extremely dog aggressive, and can flip a 2400 lb bull like it was flipping a pancake!

I've seen a Pug X Heeler (red). She was really rather pretty. The cross elongated the nose, the color of the Pug, the build of the Heeler, and a size 1/2 way inbetween both breeds, the tail was shorter than normal, but didn't curl all the time. The lady said the temperment was "different" but tolerable.

And a Malamute X Border Terrier --- the size of the Malamute, wire hair like a mane on the scruff around the neck and britches of the legs, extremely intelligent, color of the Malamute. It had a broken coat (some parts wirey, some parts smooth). It looked like it was wearing a lion's costume.

OMG --- are people really that stupid -- I guess they are. No shedding, that's a big fat lie. Sold with non breeding rights, yeah, so they won't have competition.

ANOTHER "BREED" registry started for the purpose of making money and promoting CROSS BRED DOGS! :evilbat: Why don't they just branch out and start a "BREED" registry called, "SHIBULL's" or "SHOXER'S", cross their Shiba's with APBT and Boxers....! Rare, indeed.

Well, here's how I found the site.

Some guy in Iowa found my name and wondered if I had Shibas for sale. We had ONE litter and have had both altered since. After they had their surgeries, I have had MANY inquiries on Shibas in my area.....I keep referring them to one of my breeders in WA, but the one guy found this place and got his baby from there. I checked out the website (BEFORE this ***NEW RARE*** breed was posted) and wasn't all that happy with the way their Shibas looked, but I'm NOT an expert so I told him to go with his gut feeling and I would be happy to help him in anyway. Later on, I went BACK to that site to email them to talk to them about their Shibas...and found this lovely new breed. Now, when ever I get inquiries about Shiba pups, I tell them NOT to go there because I do NOT think this is ethical!!!!

Wonder what they crossed these dogs with for this WONDERFUL new breed????? Must have poodle in them cuz you KNOW poodles DON'T EVER shed.....no offense to poodles AT ALL, but I do NOT believe that no breed wont shed. They at least have to shed one hair a week!

 errrrr......ahhhh...my crossbred post was meant to be a joke.

I share the disgust with those who really make up these new "rare" breeds....for $$$$

 Dear lord who could look at that webpage with dogs in cages as far as the eye can see and think, wow, I want one of those.....they must be so well socialized  And those Cantel's :o "We saw a need for a dog that was well-suited for the American family". Give me a freaking break! There are hundreds of REAL breeds which are perfectly suited for the American family. Unless that little thing whistles the Star Spangled Banner out its rear--I don't see how it any better for the "American" family than English Springers or German Shepards.....bleah to these people  . Besides, does that little tag line mean they are not suited for the Canadian family? And non-shedding? Yeah right, and I got this bridge.........

Why do people have to do this, what's wrong with breeds as they are? The wording of some of the advertisments you see really stretch the imagination :o Saw one for you BK- Registered Australian Cattle Dog, MINIATURE male heeler. Perhaps for those small cattle they breed, darn, can't remember what they call them
