Guest Anonymous Posted November 23, 2002 Posted November 23, 2002 I don't know if this is possible or not.. or even if its mean or not.. but Im going to ask.. Our apartment just put a flyer on my door to start picking up after the dog that goes to the restroom.. Thats cool not a problem at all.. So.. I take a garbage bag with me.. Put it over the top of it and pull up.. Well.. I know thats not the most effective way.. I could buy like a pooper scooper although Im not sure how well those work.. Have any of you put a bag underneat the dog before he/she goes? Is that possible.. I know they are pretty sensative where they want to go.. I can't wait to have my own house.. the dog can just got in the back yard :) Quote
Hobbit Posted November 23, 2002 Posted November 23, 2002 Hey, hate to be the bearer of bad news.....you still have to pick it up even in your own yard or pretty soon, the smell, flies and mountain of crap will be disgusting. AND it's not fair for the dog to have to live, play and walk in it's own crap. :-? Quote
Guest Anonymous Posted November 23, 2002 Posted November 23, 2002 Just have to share this  Let me say that I read Bloodhounds had rather large piles before I got Forest but geez man  !! Okay I am done.. If I didn't scoop every day or every other day you would be hopping around my yard and it is a good size (70x50) just in the back..front is 1 1/2 acre(getting fenced now).. Quote
corgilady Posted November 23, 2002 Posted November 23, 2002 Gee thanks for sharing, Jacsmom!  NVMY, there are little baggies you can buy at the petstore for picking up poop. you put it over your hand, grab the pile, and pull the bag over it. sounds yukky but it's not too bad. There is even a little container for carrying the bags that hangs on your leash. However, if your newspaper comes in a baggie, that works just as well. I use those (everyone saves them for me  ). As near as I can tell I save $11 a month by using the newspaper bag. I have never heard of anyone putting a bag under a dog as he goes...like the bags they put on horses, you mean?.... guess it would work, if he stood still...one of mine walks all around as he goes  Quote
