Guest Anonymous Posted November 11, 2002 Posted November 11, 2002 Tonight on Animal Planet Animal Precinct is coming on. I saw a preview of it and this lady put little tiny puppies (about 4 weeks old or so) in a Dumpster. She does get arrested. I got to watch it and see what happens. :) Some people are SO mean!!! :x Don't get a female dog if you do not want to spay them, keep them up when they are in heat or deal with puppies if she gets pregnant. Guest Anonymous Posted November 11, 2002 Posted November 11, 2002 I watch that show every week. I know a lot of animal lovers that CAN'T watch it, but I feel I have to. Thanks for the reminder! Quote
Guest Anonymous Posted November 11, 2002 Posted November 11, 2002 Yes me too. I just have to watch that show. I like to see them catch the animal abusers. I love animals and I think that the people they catch should suffer like the animals did instead of going to jail. Then maybe people would straighten out. Quote
Guest Anonymous Posted November 11, 2002 Posted November 11, 2002 I think at 8 pm tonight they are showing some of the rescues and how they are doing now before they show the episode. I want to see that too. Animals do nothing but give love and all some people can do is abuse and neglect them...how is is possible. Quote
Guest Anonymous Posted November 11, 2002 Posted November 11, 2002 OH GOOD! Then hubby will watch too! The rescue stories are the best... Quote
Guest Anonymous Posted November 11, 2002 Posted November 11, 2002 www.tvguide.com says.... The first show.... Segments include the rescue of two puppies left to die in a trash can, and a sheepdog that has a gash in its neck. Also: a man muzzles his dog with a tin can. Second show....only 1/2 hour Cases involving dog abuse are examined. Quote
Shannon_C Posted November 11, 2002 Posted November 11, 2002 Its so sad for all animals who get abused/illtreated, people do not realise what animals can do for our health in cases of bringing our stress level down when we are depressed and making us happy.... animals especially dogs are what you make them to be, just like children....if you allow them to pull the wallpaper off the wall or cut or chew your sofa up without correcting them then they will, if you show both that your topdog/boss then they will back down. Owners of dogs and parents of children are to blame for bringing them up misserably, you dont dump your child for being naughty do you ? so why a dog! It goes to show that because dogs carn't answer back and show emotions like humans they are treated the worst, if it was the other way round then humans would be getting dumped and dogs staying, its a vicious circle in life. The law should be changed to allow only responsible mature adults to have neutered pets with children being bought up to love and care for there pet, and only the experienced breeders who breed for quality not quantity, having there dogs also neutered that aren't good for showing. This would prevent neglect of any animal, there wouldn't be any unwanted litters, no rescues and definately no cross breeds (which are mostly the ones that are dumped). It can be done with a lot of time, effort, and hard work, all animals fitted with sensors would be a start so that throughout the households they can be tracked for any neglect/bad treatment like being smacked, kicked, thrown, starved etc....in which a crying noise would let the police know that the dog isnt being treated properly, a lot of the time the police dont have nothing better to do than to pull people over for car checks etc.....maybe animal tracking would give them something to do. They only need to sit in there offices waiting for the sensor to go off then they could go straight to the owners house, WARNING them that the dog will be taken away if not looked after properly and also fined and prisoned. There good at going after those who dont pay for there tv licences, and fine them, an animal as feelings....a tv licence is just a piece of paper! My oppinion to how it should be, i know a few of you might have others. Quote
Dad4duchess Posted November 11, 2002 Posted November 11, 2002 I watch that show whenever I catch it :) Quote
Guest Anonymous Posted November 12, 2002 Posted November 12, 2002 Well now.... What did you guys think? Someone throwing away 13 puppies??? :x And the tin can dog...she just wanted love and attention. The sheep dog was the saddest...IMHO...someone slitting her throat. Poor girl (it was a girl, wasn't it?).. Quote
bk_blue Posted November 12, 2002 Posted November 12, 2002 How could anyone live with themselves doing those sorts of things to mostly defenceless animals????????????? People make me sick sometimes. Quote
Guest Anonymous Posted November 12, 2002 Posted November 12, 2002 It was sad and then all that lady could say was: Well I couldn't take care of them so I figured that was the best thing for them. At least I didn't kill the mother! Can you beleive that. They should have thrown that lady in a trash can and locked it up. The other ones were sad too. I can beleive someone cut the throat on that poor doggie. :( A couple years ago someone did that to my aunts dog. He was half Chow and half Dingo and someone went in their yard and cut his throat. I hope he tore them up some because he was mean. I don't see how they could have gotten away without getting bit. yellowlabsrule Posted November 13, 2002 Posted November 13, 2002 That show is so sad, but really happy when they save the animals, I love it. I saw that show a couple weeks ago 2 out of 13 puppies surviving, it broke my heart. Anyone see the one about the rescued animals with their new lease on life? If so how was it?? Wish I could've seen it! Quote

I read a quote some time back, probably don't have it exact, but it went like this: All over the country, thousands of children are living lives of quiet desperation. Horribly sad for them, sad too for all the dogs and other animals living such lives. I like watching animal planet shows, even animal precinct. It just boggles the mind how many people think of animals as just 'things' to do with what they please, treat any old way, dispose of as they see fit. Quote

It doesnt matter if its a dog, cat, horse, human being.....they will always be abused or killed unless something is done about it like the law being stricter. Those dogs and cats that are muzzled with tin cans, then beaten to death before being eaten is down right evil/sick, changes are being made to end the suffering to these poor animals, there as been many petitions put up and signed by the public. bk_blue Posted November 14, 2002 Posted November 14, 2002 I used to think I was bad if I didn't take BK out for a good long run every day... I absolutely cannot comprehend how some people can be so cruel not only to animals but other people as well, though I know damn well it happens and all too often. The thing is, how can you stop people from being cruel? Will tighter laws stamp it out? I am all for stringency with the law, but will it really do anything? Quote
