You guys are so mean to me. Those are great pics.

One of my little students was telling me how beautiful my dogs are today, so I told her about it. She's about 11 and one of the sweetest human beings in the world. She said, well, it's best to go with your instinct! :lol:

I am LEANING toward yes even though LOGICALLY I should say no. I say that because of

My boys growl at each other a lot
I am also considering a job change (if you want to know about that, PM me... I'm uncomfortable saying it here. )

also, as I sit in my computer chair with a DOG IN MY CHAIR (yes we're ..um... sharing) and 2 more within 4 feet, I wonder, is it possible to have too many? Does everyone get enough attention?????

I understand the dog on the lap thing...I'm tying one handed cuz Kenzo demands my attention anytime I'm on the computer. I guess that's one good reason I can't take them to work with me! I'd never get anything done.

I think Minnie Mouse would be great! There's a saint named Tiny at the shelter here in town! I'd take him but Kenzo would throw a fit. Kenzo doesn't like his own son. :( Oh well...he fits the breed :roll:

Too bad about all the problems I'm having with disappearing posts lately. They're there and then they're not.

I'm about four hours away and if this dog isn't like 4+ Hw+, I could probably have fostered her, treated her and placed her, assuming Corgimama didn't get her. Too late for me to plan anything now. I wish I'd been able to find this. :-?

Corgimama, even if you don't decide to keep her, is there any chance you could get her out and buy her some time? Worst case scenario, she goes back, but at least maybe buy some time...? I've gotten a few really good adoptable dogs out of the pound just to buy them a little time and placed them with people I knew were looking for something similar. Just a thought, but don't feel guilty if you can't. You didn't dump her there.

Good idea HF!! Corgi if nothing else you could foster and treat then always find her a great home if you decide that St.'s are not for you!! You could look at the fact that you got her out, treated her, and found her a great home.

I like BIG dogs...I look at it like this...When I get old I won't have to bent over to pet my dogs!! :lol: :lol: :lol:

Well now. Y'all need to be better detectives. The minute I picked her name..... she was MINE! However they are not returning my calls or emails.... I don't know what this means.... I am getting antsy becuz it is friday afternoon..... :roll:

geeeeeeeeeeez. No call. No email. They didn't answer the shelter phone most of the afternoon. They were supposed to call me if no one adopted her and it got down to the wire. :( Hopefully this just means that she got a home.

I had an email. My contact has been sick with the flu, but she said they are holding the dog because they had interest from me, and from a rescue group. YAYY!!!

Also today I ran into a friend of mine, and doggone it SHE HAS SAINTS, and used to come to my shop and tell me all about them every saturday. I had forgotten all about it. So i know more than I thought. :lol: Theirs escape all the time, they are always having to chase them all over the mountain.

I still would like to see a pic before I drive all teh way down there, do you think that is asking too much? I mean, sometimes you can look at the pic and think, that dog is/is not for me.

yes that is what I want to do....I just never have 8 hours in a row that I can be gone, that coincide with when they are open. I am calling to day to try to set something up.

OK finally a message....here it is:

Hello!

Sorry I've really been dragging on this. I'm still very sick and
unfortunately I've tried everything I know to get more information on this
dog but I've come up empty handed. I'm really sorry. There's no way I can
tell how she is with small dogs and there's no information about her in
terms of obedience training (which I doubt) or socialization. She seems to
be very sweet, but I know it's a gamble.

After all this time, they can't tell how she is around other animals. :cry: I am thinking of letting her go to the rescue that has offered to take her. One of the reasons is that I am still having so much misbehavior out of Koda. I don't know what to do. I know some of you feel that re-homing him would be "dumping" him, but I feel like he is a square peg that I am trying to fit in a round hole. In another home, the barking wouldn't matter so much. or there wouldn't be so much traffic to bark at. Tonite I came in at 11 pm, and there he was between the houses, barking. The nieghbors had all their lights on, I am surprised they didn't come out and hit me. or worse. The girls had left me a note that they had tried and tried and couldn't get him in.
........... I don' t know. :cry: :cry: :cry: I love Koda. He is a great commpanion, IF he is not allowed outside alone and IF you watch him constantly to keep him from cheewing stuff up. also, originally I wanted a dog I could walk easily on a leash, because of the pain in my hands. But he pulls continually, even with the gentle leader. So I have the ONE PROBLEM I was trying to avoid. I have been walking less and less, because he makes me insane. In addition to pulling, jumping, and trying to get the cars while we walk, he pushes between the Corgis (who are coupled togehter) and sometimes shoves the collar right off one of them! :o He does really well at his class, so everyone thinkks he is good.

anyway sorry that was completely off topic....wehres' that sign..... but I had to get it off my chest. My head is hurting from trying to make all these decisions, and as you can see, i can't type striaght. SUGGESTIONS????????????

I keep forgetting to say, the reason I have not tried the citronella collar is that when I went to buy one, they told me that another dog barking close by would set off the spray! so he lives with 2 Corgis, plus there are 2 large dogs at the back that stick their heads over the fence and bark! I guess I could try it and see :lol: . But I have a feeling it won't help. Koda gets this certain crazed look in his eyes, which means, I am not going to listen to reason right now. And he gets that look when he is out there barking. I even looked at muzzles; however, he'd find some way to get it off.

If a choke collar for a week would do it, I could try that. I don't even care if he "heels' just as long as he DOESNT PULL. Sometimes after he has pulled on me, I have hand/arm pain and spasms for a full day. This is BAD, as I need my hands for work.

AS far as the Saint, she said I could let it go to the rescue group, then contact them and they would tell me about her socialization and so forth. But i think I wont do it. Koda takes hours of my time. :cry:

Corgi, thank you so much for at least trying! That means so much to us who wish they COULD help (jealous dogs wont allow more in the home).
