Guest Anonymous Posted October 28, 2002 Posted October 28, 2002 It has been raining here off and on for seriously a month. My backyard gets so muddy but my dogs have to go out there to go potty. Of course since they've been cooped up for so long as well they go crazy when they go out so they come in COVERED in mud. Ugh...I'm getting so tired of either having to towel off my dogs or give them a bath every two hours! Is it really rainy everywhere or am I just lucky!? ~Rachel yourpamperedpooch.com Quote
deepseasnake Posted October 29, 2002 Posted October 29, 2002 rain for a MONTH!!! shoot!! try 6  my dogs like the rain and our yard is sloped and covered in pretty thick grass in most places so mud is never really a problem. Its when we go hiking that they get caked and look more like black labs than golden retrievers. My truck suffers the brunt of it all, I get em with the hose before they go inside  thats fun let me tell you  you would think the hose shot fire the way they run away from it :D Quote
bk_blue Posted October 30, 2002 Posted October 30, 2002 :o I WISH it would rain, we've just had water restrictions put on us here because of the severe drought. Blitz used to hate puddles, he would delicately step around them, now he goes and stands in the middle of them and cools his feet off or something. Doesn't roll around in them thank goodness. Once he stuck his head in a harmless looking puddle which turned out to be a mud hole, he was covered in tan mud up to his armpits, a bugger to clean off in the middle of winter. With storms he barks ALL NIGHT out in the rain at the thunder to make it go away, of course it eventually does disappear and he thinks he's chased it away, then goes to sleep all happy with himself... Quote

deepseasnake Posted October 30, 2002 Posted October 30, 2002 depends on which side of the state you are on. we are the only state in the union that has every climate on earth, Desert, Rainforst, Arctic, evergreen forset, and so on if you were in eastern WA a normal summer day will be 100-110 degrees but if your closer to Seattle on the west side of the mountains a summer day will USUALLY top out at 75 Although lately its been kinda fluckie and the west side did have a couple days in the 80s Quote
Dad4duchess Posted October 31, 2002 Posted October 31, 2002 Duchess just loves the rain and right now in Southern California it's hard to come by :-? Quote
