Guest Anonymous Posted October 28, 2002 Posted October 28, 2002 Okay maybe this shouldn't be under the training session, but.. As for potty training.. Our dog has had a few "mis-haps" on the carpet.. Causing a few stains.. We have been using resolve and some soap and water to clean the carpet but as time progresses.. The apartment is starting to have that ped odor like the carpet has been saturated and stuff like that.. Do any of you have any home romedies to get the smell out?? I've tried candles Ive tried the vacuum.. My next step is Shampooing the carpet which may cost some money so Im trying all my resorts first :-) Quote
Guest Anonymous Posted October 28, 2002 Posted October 28, 2002 A good thing to use for odors on carpet with a pet has an accident is a mixture of vinegar and water... First clean with a mixture of soap and water then spray with the mixture of vinegar and water. This removes the odor for the dog and you. It prevents "remarking" for the dog also! :wink: Quote

I may have to invest in this.. Is it an even 50/50 combo? and do you need to scrub it in or just spray it and let it soak? Quote

Spray, rub it in with sponge(Or something), let it sit about 1 minute and then dab up excess. Whole carpet??? hum do you like the smell of vinegar??? :lol: Quote
