Dog poisoning

I was wondering if one of you could tell me if this is how a dog acts if it has been poisoned.

Ok I used to have this 4 month old Boxer/Rott/Shepherd mix puppy. One day she wouldn't eat or drink, she just laid around, and hid under our trailer. I really didn't think anything of it then. Then she started ignoring me like she was deaf. I could see her and would call her but see just keep looking straight ahead of her. So I walked over to her and then she started jumping around and wagging her nub so I thought she was just ignoring me. Well the next day after I got out of school my mom told me she had passed away. I felt SO bad I didn't do anything to help her. I didn't know that she was sick or I would have taken her to the vet.

Anyways I was just wondering if that is how they act if they have been poisoned. My neighbor threatened to kill another dog we had so I figured he probably poisoned her.

I know they don't eat or drink when they have been Poisoned but I was wondering about her being kinda hyper and ignoring me. This that normal when they've been poisoned?

:( :( :(
How horrible your neighbour must be.
But I don't know the answer to your question.
I guess it depends on the type of poison used, if any? I did a quick look on the net but for some of the more common posionings (warfarin, organo-phosphate, strychnine, ground glass :x ) they did not mention any weird behavioural symptoms... doesn't mean it's not possible though.

That is what I thought. He could have used a special kind of poisoning that made her do that. I will go check some out on the internet later. Thanks bk. :)
