Guest Anonymous Posted October 13, 2002 Posted October 13, 2002 LOL! SORRY GUYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D Yup, as you said she DID take it better than me! :o :x When we went to pick her up she was under aneasethic(sp?) and was soooooo tired!!!! :o When we went over to the car, and were waiting for my mom to open it, she was soo tired she slept on the sidewalk!! :D My poor baby...... And I was about to CRY...all the time after that I stayed with her, despite the fact that I had missed school that day JUST to take her to the vets and had A TON of homework...... She vomited once...and was sooo groggy.....it made me REALLY FEEL BAD, she was soooo groggy I felt like she was a old dog! :o I went to see her in the morning and wouldn't you belive it she is as hyper and happy as always....and I was sitting there looking at the stitches about to cry whilst she is jumping around the garden happy as ever!! :x  Anyway.....I rubbed Vix Vapor Rub around the stitches so she wouldn't bite it(although she didn't think of such a thing, you can never be too sure  ) AND the vet told me that Rowie, my very own Rowie mind you, has some kind of ear infection and I hafto give a medication to her everyday.... In 2 weeks she'll be OK, and on Oct.21 we'll take her to remove the stitches :D Anyway, can't write anymore right now, off to the vets for the medication!! wish luck for Rowie for me!!! :D Quote
Carolk9s Posted October 13, 2002 Posted October 13, 2002 Rowie, how is your baby? Um, regarding the Vicks, did your vet say it ok to put on her skin? I'm afraid if her skin is super tender it might be irritated by the Vicks. Plus you certainly don't want to put it too near the incision, I'd worry about irritation there also. How is she doing now? How are you doing? Quote

Guest Anonymous Posted October 14, 2002 Posted October 14, 2002 Rowie-how is your baby doing? I can totally relate to how you felt when you left Rowie at the vet. When we brought Lexie for an ear cropping consultation, the vet said he could do it the next day, so he suggested that we leave her overnite with him so we wouldn't have to drive back and forth again. As soon as those words came out of his mouth, I started bawling. I didn't want to leave her at all. We had to go to the pet store across the street to buy her some food for her stay, and the whole way over there and back, I kept crying. I have no idea why, because I knew should would be fine and we would have her back the next day, but just the thought of her not being home with us was unbearable. It all turned out in my favour though.....when we got back from the pet store, all we could hear was some little pup crying uncontrollably. The vet came over and said...I think it would be best if you took her home tonite, because she will not stop crying. I was so happy...I set the appt for the next morning, picked up my puppy and walked out the door. But of course it happened all over again the next morning, when I had to leave her there for the surgery. :( :( :( Quote
Rowie-the-Pooh Posted October 17, 2002 Author Posted October 17, 2002 Ya! pitbulluva! Rowie's doi'n fine :D NOw i'm thinking,"why was I so worried?" Ok,Ok, i'm late right? Just wanted to respond  Oh, and Rowie's skin is doi'n fine.....the Vix id doing it's thing, but I did not put it around the stitches, i put it farther away........she seems to be fine and on Tue, she's gonna be OK  I really dunno....the NURSE told me to put Vix, not the vet......sorry......I dunno she is OK  Anyway, I don't put it anymore, she doesn't lick/bite the stitches, she seems to understand that it's not good for her  I ams sooo proud that she isn't gonna be and "unspayed" b!tch, cuz we already have an overcrowded world out there :D Love that girl........ :D Quote
